This studio is really beautiful! When you walk in, the vibe in this place just blows you away....there is a koi pond in the waiting area with a fountain and the people who work there are so friendly! They specialize in custom tattoing, almost every design is drawn for the client. They can also work with your own designs and reference materials. They are known for piercings as well, as well as body modifications. Any unique or unusual body modifications The design of the store is brilliant...this is a must see studio!

There are a number of tattoo artists in Los Angeles, of course, but the vast majority kind of suck. Either they're unsanitary, or ridiculously expensive, or incompetent artists, and sometimes all three at once. Zulu, however, is none of the above. His patience is remarkable, and he is willing to draw and re-draw as often as it takes. His price is incredibly high (upwards of 300 an hour), but his celebrity clients can pay it and from what I've seen his designs are worth it. Zulu takes the "spiritual" element of tattooing very seriously, so be warned if that aggravates you. Otherwise, he goes out of his way to make sure you're comfortable and satisfied.

I haven't looked into this place for tattooing, but I was happy with their piercing setup, which included autoclaving the materials in front of me (even though all I had done was an earlobe). The piercer was friendly and knowledgable, with aftercare instructions that made sense. If you must get a body piercing on the Venice Boardwalk, this is as good of a place as any, and better than most. Prices are very reasonable.

A really crowded space, mediocre artists, and an annoying clientele combine to create a shop that I walked into and right back out of. They do tattooing in public areas, and their aftercare instructions were outdated in the late 1990s. It does seem to at least occasionally practice sterilization procedures, and it certainly is an improvement over some of the Venice Boardwalk shops, but unless you want a blurry Tazmanian devil or flaming skull on yourself forever, I'd stay away.

I wonder what it is about the Pacific Ocean that makes sketchy tattoo artists congregate around it. Tattoo Asylum is at least all the way indoors, and their artists know somewhat more of what they're doing than in other Venice Beach shops. Their art is not to my taste, but it isn't universally horrible either. The artists themselves are friendly, but I wouldn't count on them for original design work. Sterilization standards are followed.

I highly recommend Big Daddys they are very trustworthy and safety conscious. The staff is highly skilled and there's no design they can't create into a master piece. The facility itself is immaculate and inviting, it's a place where you fill comfortable getting your Tattoos or Body Piercing even if your a little jittery before you come. Prices are reasonable and they offer a variety of Body Jewelry if you need some quality items at a discount rate when you get a piercing.

Prix is a great place to get any kind of piercing you may want done. They have a large variety of really cool and hard to find body jewelry. The workers there really know about that professional and answer all your questions. The prices are moderate to high, but the area is kind of expensive. I recommend going here for any body piercing needs you may have.

Top off the afternoon with a sunset over the Pacific and a bite of local shellfish steamed while you sip on a cool one. Quality Seafood is a seafood market that doubles as a great place for an appetizer and a beer or a full meal. They carry many varieties of fresh crabs, shellfish, and fish from both coasts and will steam your choices while you cool your heels with a beer. In addition, they conjure up several types of poke and ceviche. I highly recommend a bowl of shrimp ceviche followed by steamed crab dipped in garlic butter and chased with a Sam Adams. The ceviche is some of the best I've had on this side of the border. The dining area consists of a half dozen outdoor tables supplied with sun shades. That's part of the ambience. Go early. Quality Seafood closes before dark.

This place is not a good place to watch anything, much less the biggest sporting event of the year. The drinks are overpriced, the service is too slow, and the food is barely eatable. The restaurant is not good for kids, you cannot see the games due to the horrible seating configuration and it is terrible to go there with a crowd. During the regular season they will throw you out if you sit in a booth for the morning games (even if you order lots of food and drinks) they will not allow you to sit in them for the afternoon ones

The parking isnt good here.
