A RIP OFF 11/27/2015

I've been going to Mt. Olympus for 25 yrs. They've rebuilt, repaired and cleaned all my antique wall and mantel clocks...or I should say the father did. Now the kids are running it into the ground. My last clock of mine they had for 3 yrs. They gave us an estimate of $350.00-$400.00 to repair it. No communication on their part. We contacted them every 8 mos. or so to find out what was going on with the repair...always the same story...they were working on it. Every contact we had with them we made it clear we did not want to spend more than the original estimate. Finally in Nov. 2015 we went to pick up our clock whether it was done or not. They said it was finished 8 mos. earlier and that they called...they never once in 3 yrs. contacted us! Then they said the bill was $840.00. Then the repairman and mgr. colluded to lie to me. I don't even want to go into detail on that! I left paying the original estimate. Never again, I'm taking my business to Kings. I actually think the "watch repa more

A RIP-OFF. I've been going to them for 25 yrs...no more! Dishonest, deceitful, and the watch repairman is a flat out liar! As a footnote...the chimes don't work. They had the clock for 3 yrs. and couldn't get it right. The kids are running the business into the ground! I'm taking my business to Kings! more

Highly Recommended. 10/11/2012

What a wonderful place. I had them repair my Rolex watch and it works better now than it ever has. I highly recommend them. I think the thing I was most impressed with is that I was able to speak directly with Aaron the Watchmaker. He was able to let me know what my watch needed and what was recommended by Rolex. Thanks Guys you do great work. more

bad review mt. olymput clock shop 9/25/2012

Don't let Mt. Olympus Clock Shop touch your watch.\r \r My Ulysee Nardin watch was stopping now and then. I took it to Olympus Clock shop for cleaning.\r When I got it back it stopped the next day and would not start up again. I was charged 375 dollars. I took it back and when I got it back the second time it would not run at all. They said they had never heard of Ulysee Nardin watches, it was a low quality watch and could not be repaired, they said it might have been made in China. A 10000 dollar Ulysee Nardin, low quality, made in China????? Where did these people come from?\r \r I was forced to take it to a second shop who fixed it and showed me missing parts which must have been lost by Mt. Olympus Clock shop. Because of them I am out 1400 dollars.\r \r Don't go there. Bad review for Mt. Olympus Clock Shop. I give then a negative recommendation. more

Broke my Omega watch 9/23/2012

Mt. Olympus Clock Shop could not even replace the battery in an omega seamaster quartz. After the watch was returned the bracelet fell apart and it was fine for 10 year prior to that. They did not offer to make good on the repair. \r \r When presenting the watch and the bracelet I couldn't finish showing the parts before they interrupted me. Very rude. Completely unskilled at watch repair. Un willing to do anything to correct the damage they had done. I now have a 1000 dollar omega watch which needs a new bracelet. Check out the full story at \r \r mtolympusclockshopsucks.com\r \r Mt. Olympus Clock Shop Sucks.\r \r Don't let them ruin your valuable time piece and get paid to do it. more

Wonderful People 7/16/2011

I have been buying nutcrackers from this shop for years but it wasn't till recent that I was having a problem with my Rolex that I found out how wonderful they really are. The service I received was top notch. The watch repairman was very knowledgeable, I was surprised that I was able to speak directly with him. The repair was finished quite fast, much faster than if I had sent it somewhere. Best of all my watch now looks brand new. I am so happy I will continue to do business for years to come. more

These guys are Great 2/8/2011

I am so happy with these guys. They recently came out and repaired my 45 year old Grandfather clock. I called and set up an appointment then the next day Norm called and said he had an opening that afternoon. Norm was so nice he showed me how to adjust the timing and the chime. I am so glad to have my clock working again. Thanks Norm for the fast service. more

Only game in town? 1/11/2011

I took a banjo wall clock that was gifted to me, in for repairs in June. They said 3 to 4 weeks. I called after 5 weeks, and they hadn't gotten to it yet, and advised me it would be a couple more weeks. I called in august, and it still was not ready. I finally got the clock in late August. It was over 200.00 to clean and oil the clock. The chimes quit working within 2 months. I didn't take it back to them. They were extremely rude when I called and asked about the clock, didn't know which clock I was talking about, and didn't care if I was a customer or not. I had previously purchased 2 cuckoo clocks from them, that have also been in for cleaning and oiling, which it appeared that they were holding for ransom of hundreds of dollars. It took several weeks each to get them back. I won't be doing any more business with them. more

Waste of Time 9/29/2010

This place is not what some people may claim. They were rude and WAY expensive. They claim to be the best price but I can assure you that is false. I won't be going back. There are better places out there to get your watch fixed. Two thumbs down! more

Great people, very friendly, and provide tremendous service. They made a quick adjustment on lying Howard Miller regulator clock, got the chimes working perfectly and did it all while I was standing right there. And then to top it off they didn't charge me a single penny. Believe me when it comes time to work on my Howard Miller grandfather clock these are the only guys I will call. more

gog 2/23/2010

I brought my watch in for repair and hadn't heard back after patiently waiting for 1-1/2 month. So I called in and turned out not only the watch is ready for pick up, but they don't even know how much more time would be necessary. The guy I talked to was extremely rude and I certainly was not treated like their valuable customer though I've dealt with them several times in the past. I understand they maybe dealing with uncertainty but the person could've handled our conversation in a much better/professional manner as I'm the customer here and not him!! He had an upper hand in our conversation and didn't even seem sorry for the lengthy wait without any communications whatsoever. I'd never deal with them again!! Cons: Worst customer service!!!!!!!!! more

Best Watch repair 10/15/2009

First off when I went into the store I was greeted by one of the sales staff, I told them I had a watch problem. the salesman then took me over to talk directly with the watch repairman he was able to stop what he was doing and open up the watch (my rolex) and look at it right then. He told me what was wrong and let me know what was recomended. I was told the repair would then take 3-4 weeks. after about 2 1/2 weeks I called to check on the repair and was told it would onlt be a few more days and then 2 days later I recieved a call that the repair was finnished. When I went it to pick up the repair I was very happy to see than the watch looked as nice as the day it was NEW and now after wearing the watch for a few weeks I can see that it keeps better time than when it was new. I will be a customer for life these guys are great. Pros: Fast, good Price, quality work, friendly And certified. Cons: it was well out of my way, but worth it. more

worst experience ever 1/26/2007

I took my husband's watch in to get fixed. It was supposed to be a surprise for Xmas so I took it in on Nov. 30th because the watch has sentimental value but hadn't worked for a few years. The man looked over the watch and told me it would probably cost more to fix than the watch is worth. I told him the cost was irrelevant, my husband doesn't want a new watch he wants that watch fixed. He said he'd call the next day with an estimate. After not hearing anything I called a week later and they told me a part had been ordered and they were waiting for it to get in. I asked if they found out what was wrong with the watch and he said the crystal just needed to be replaced and would cost about $35. I waited 2 more weeks and called again because Xmas was a week away. They said they were still waiting for the part. I asked again if they were still going to be able to repair the watch. He said yes. I got a call 3 weeks after christmas saying I could come pick up my watch since I'd opted not to have the repairs done. I called back to find out what the heck they were talking about and they said the watchmaker decided the repairs would cost more than the watch was worth. I was so livid that I didn't even want to deal with them anymore. The customer service was horrible and I said up front that cost wasn't an issue so who were they to decide whether or not it was worth it to fix the watch without talking to me. I am so upset that they ruined my husband's surprise AND the watch still doesn't work. Cons: bad service more
