This hotel is worthy of a destination getaway. Its uniquely decorated rooms are so entrancing, beautiful and quiet that they create a seclusive retreat. It is a surprise, after staying in another realm for an evening, to open the door and find a hotel hallway.
The service is excellent; the hotel provides cheesecake, sparkling cider, dvd rentals, and breakfast in bed. The wonderful part was it seemed the staff made a point to not be seen or heard. Breakfast and a newspaper was delivered to and left at our door in the morning. I loved the illusion of complete seclusion when I was probably really just next door to someone else.
Worth every penny.

My boyfriend and I went to Bambara for my birthday celebration and I was more than impressed. The service was above and beyond top notch and the food was delicious!!!! I came here to write an awesome review since people are very careful who they give their money to these days, but Bambara obviously doesn't need the extra attention. Proof by all the other posts, this restaurant is a gem in SLC. I will definitely be going back! PS...although the featured wine wasn't my fav choice, the option for a $20 bottle when everything else is $40+ is awesome in this economy!

This B&B is perfect for those who are looking for a place to get away. It takes you back in time. The mansion is full of antiques and is just beautiful. It has an old fashion feel. My husband and I have gone here for our anniversary the past two years and will definitely be back.
Pros: Beautiful Rooms
Cons: It got a little toasty, opening a window fixed the problem.

The Grand American Hotel is located in the downtown center, next to the TRAX light rail system. Their beautifully decorated facility is matched by fantastic customer service. The Hotel definitely earns it's 5 diamond rating. You will truly enjoy the lush carpets, gorgeous floral arrangements, a lovely pool and peaceful courtyard with fountains and hedges.
Rooms are huge -- with luxury linens, marble bathtubs and spacious glass-walled showers. Turndown service includes a comfy bathrobe and chocolates.
The Garden Cafe breakfast buffet is pricey but worth it! The week I visited fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries were such a nice addition to my creamy cooked oatmeal. Very good coffee, too. Dinners at the Garden Cafe were excellent, especially the tomato bisque soup and grilled tuna. Restaurant service was superb in the Cafe.
Alcoholic drinks from the bar are pricey and probably the most disappointing part of the meal. Service in the bar was slow -- and the service staff underinformed. If you use the poolside bar service, be aware there is a hefty delivery fee and added gratuity.
Conference facilities are excellent, if highly priced. The $250 AV fee for a high-speed internet connection into a conference room seemed unreasonable. Lunch and food break service into our conferences was subtle and thorough. The meeting rooms were clean & comfortable.
I did not have the spa treatment, but co-workers said the deep tissue massage was excellent.

This was a really nice hostel. They had a lot of fun things to do I really liked the movie nights with pop corn it was a nice touch. They have a free gas BBQ grill that they let all the guests use. I stayed there about a year ago and they have mad a lot of improvements to it since then including some remodeling and there is all new staff (they where very friendly and helpful). It is close to the downtown area it only took me about 10 minutes to walk and they have a big grocery store just up the street. I would defiantly recommend this hostel to anyone!!!
Pros: Nice neighborhood, close to downtown, ski bus left from right there, super market close by, & friendly environment

Our company uses the Peery Hotel every week for our employees and they love it! Every new employee we send to the Peery Hotel comes back with nothing but great things to say. The staff is amazing and are willing to go out of their way to get anything for my employees. The rooms are comfortable and the entire staff makes you feel at home. My company has been sending our employees to the Peery Hotel for years and we will never change.
Pros: Great prices for beautiful rooms and perfect location to everything!

The Comfort Inn Airport was located near everything we needed to do, but the room was also great, so no question well return. Liked the free breakfast and the complimentary internet in my room. The staff were very helpful with my questions about genealogical research available in Salt Lake.
