Best

This has been one of my favorite bars in the country for almost a decade. I don't even know if it was called Miracle of Science the first time I went here--at the time, the place...

Worst

Went here for brunch/lunch with some friends. I had a breakfast sandwich, which was just okay. The service wasn't very attentive, despite how slow it was in there; in fact, she ba...

Miracle of Science Cafe 4/24/2006

Miracle of Science Cafe is a like a world in a glass bubble. surrounded on three sides by glass, this walk-in sit down haunt just steps from MIT Hotel and several longer strides for the MIT campus. No lab escapees here. No the envelope breakthrough cast about the floor, no testimonials to minds fired by science. This feels more like folks chowing down before hitting the mid-night show at the mid-East. or the late night club next door. Order a hot open-faced sandwich, spicy buffalo wings or other standards from the blackboard menu. You will have plenty of crisp to crunch and plenty of golden lager to wash it down. more

Much better than expected 2/12/2006

Miracle of Science is about a five minute walk from the Central Square T stop. It is a fairly small place with seating for about 30-40 people. There isn’t much in the way of decoration, the tables have no cloths or paper on them and the chairs are plain wood chairs. The menu is written on a blackboard on the wall and is made up to look like the periodic table of elements, which is very Beauty & the Geek. The menu is made up of sandwiches, salads, hamburgers and kebabs of various sorts (even vegetable kebabs for the vegans). With the kebabs you can order one skewer or two skewers and they came with tortillas, a black bean salad and a cole slaw made with mint. Great atmosphere all around, except for that if you don't have an ID to show you're over 21, you're out. more

Fun with Science 1/13/2006

This bar is fun and can bring out the "inner-nerd" in even the coolest of socialites. Situated near the capitol of nerdiness (aka the MIT campus), this bar is decorated with Scientific lab equipment and fodder. Are you one of those people that knows the periodic table of elements by heart, but does not know why? Then this bar is for you. Cocktails are science-themed as well. I admit it's a bit cheesy, but I think it's a fun bar. Bring your sense of humor and your pocket protector. more

Fun Bar near MIT 8/16/2005

Miracle of Science Bar and Grill is a small fun bar and care near the MIT campus. The restrauant is frequented by both Cambridge residents and MIT students, and becomes a bar in the evenings. It's a quiet bar, and not full of noisy people. The food is distinctively american. You can get burgers, sausages, salads, salmon, and other "american" fare. Prices are resonable (around $9-15 per dish) and drink prices are OK (around $6 per beer, $10 for a mixed drink). It's a fun place to hang out near MIT. It's within walking distance from the MIT campus so many students do visit. more
