I didn't realize that auto repair came in the flavor of real honesty. We have actually been using Magic Touch for years, but being as my car decided to die yesterday, it reminded me I should post a review. I have a Honda and my husband has an Acura, so it's our one stop shop for repairs on our old cars. Actually, because we have had such great experiences, my husbands family, who only drives Honda and Acura as well, takes their cars there also! more

This place is cool, they are not out to take your money, just want to get you back on the road. I was pleased with the work and would go back. more

I went here to get because my ""check engine"" light came on. They were really helpful, it ended up just being because I had not put on my gas cap correctly. They could have told me that something was wrong and charged me an arm and a leg, but they were honest. It really left an impression on me that is why I wanted to write this review. more

After realizing that I was getting ripped off at the Santa Monica Nissan dealer when I took my car in for service, I switched to the Firestone garage on La Brea, which happens to be in my neighborhood. I have had two really good experiences there, and I recommend them as well. Today, however, they were unable to deal with a sudden mechanical hiccup of mine because they were swamped, so they recommended I try Magic Touch which is located about 1/2 block away. The place looks a bit sketchy (yellow and purple paint?) but everyone was very professional and helpful. They were able to deal with my problem immediately (broken fuel injector) and I had my car back in about the time it took to have lunch. Best part: they seemed as concerned about giving me a good price as I was to get a good price. The net result: it cost $200 less than the Nissan dealership charged for the same repair. The truth is, based on appearances, I never would have tried this place if the Firestone mechanics hadn't pointed my in their direction. If you are in the Park La Brea/Miracle Mile area and need a repair, definitely give them a try. Highly recommmended. Pros: $ more
