Remember when restaurants weren't concepts? Remember when ""celebrity chefs"" weren't people who were never there but had their name on the door?
Remember when you could get some of the best food in the city without cancelling cable and defaulting on your student loans?
Me neither, but this must be what it was like. Two people work here, sometimes three, they own it, they make the food, they price it extremely low.
Please don't tell them about the last one, I am not sure they are aware of it.
Some of the best sandwiches for lunch, most for under $2. I am not kidding. The dinner is mostly small plates, almost all of them under $4. Still not kidding.
It is worth trying to find it. You will be back.
