Best salon I've ever been to 7/30/2010

Moving to LA can be quite daunting, even worse finding a salon that doesn't leave you in tears. So imagine my surprise when I found THE most incredible salon with the nicest people in the world close to my work. Being a blond comes with it's challenges. But when Lauren assured me she hired the best in the business to take care of my color she was right. Bogart has a serious gift for making your color work for you and it looks so natural. I've never had more compliments on my hair since I started going to Bogart. Plus it doesn't hurt that he's super sweet and makes you feel like a movie star every time you go in. I wouldn't even think about going anywhere else in LA. Love it! Pros: Awesome staff, talented sylists, free wine more

Don't let Scott's confidence be mistaken for arrogance. This guy is the real deal. He's a Rock Star of a stylist. Instinct would lead me to find the stylist with the best hair, ask them who cut it, and go to that other stylist. Well Scott's been cutting his own hair for all his adult life. I grew my hair for six an a half years and Scott was the one to lop it all off. Hair goes to Locks of Love. Kudos go to Scott. He can do edgy an hip, but I walk in and ask for old- school James Dean and he listens, and goes to work. I watched him chip away like a sculptor with a vision who chips away anything that doesn't look like a 50's pompador. BOGART is AWESOME! 6/14/2010

I was recommended to Bogart by Lauren and from the minute I walked in the door I had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a salon. He is super friendly and talks to you about your desired outcome and gives terrific recommendations. It was important for me not to sit in the chair for 3 and half hours like other salons. He got me out in under 2 hours and Iooking and feeling great. I got highlights, cut, and blowdry. This truly was one of my best highlights and cuts ever and I have been coloring my hair for 15 years. SUPER NATURAL! I have gotten a ton of compliments too. I will never go back to anyone else. BOGART ROCKS!! Pros: Friendly, Quick, Excellent Results more

Lauren's is good but avoid Scott 5/28/2010

Beware all these great reviews posted by his girlfriend. If you take the risk going to this newbie he'll push products on you and give you a mediocre and overpriced cut and style that will take wayyy too long to do. Plus I didn't appreciate the attitude I got when I asked for a shorter trim after he was finished. If I go back to Lauren's it will not be to get a cut from Scott. Be sure to read all the parking signs since they were ticketing when I was there. Oh the joys of living in LA... more

Lauren's Salon With Scott Riffe Cutting Hair Is INCREDIBLE! 5/27/2010

Scott Riffe is by far the VERY BEST hair cutter and stylist I have ever been to in my life. I can't trust my hair to anyone else. Scott has always made me look simply amazing. If you want to get your hair cut by the very best this industry has to offer then I urge you to get an appointment with Scott Riffe asap at Lauren's Salon. I am always thrilled with his ability and talent to cut hair. Definitely check him out if you need a cut you'll be glad you did! Michelle's great! 5/24/2010

I've been going to Michelle forever & will follow her anywhere!! She's got great cutting, coloring & styling skills & you won't be disappointed if you make an appt w/ her! One sidenote: I saw shady behavior from another guy in the salon and just need to say be careful around that dumb surfer dude cuz he's a jerk!!!! Going Nowhere but UP! 3/29/2010

It's so hard to find a good salon these days. I'm so glad I found Lauren's! The people are great, the services are affordable, and Michelle is a hair genius! No one can cut and color my hair like Michelle does. She's an artist! In regards to the comment below by Julesnyla...Did you ask the salon PRIOR to starting your appointment if the coupon was valid? You should always ask about the latest prices and offers anyway, so that sounds like it was more of your misunderstanding. I've been a customer of theirs for quite awhile now and I know off the top of my head that offer is only provided for NEW customers. Doesn't sound like you were new. It's unfortunate you had to write such negative things about such a great salon. I recommend this salon to everyone! New stylist Scott works wonders w/ my hair!! 3/22/2010

I've been getting my hair cut w/ Scott for a couple years now & would never dream of letting anyone else touch it! I recently went to his new salon - what a great place! Down to earth, friendly people, bright, sleek new space! I had my hair colored by Michelle - she worked wonders on it! For a great cut & color, I highly recommed Lauren's!! Headed downhill 3/22/2010

I first found Lauren's through citysearch and spa week about a year ago and had a great few experiences with Michelle, who really knows her stuff and is fun to kick it with during long hair appts. But the place is so focused on bringing in new clients that it has started to go downhill. Michelle is the only stylist still there from a year ago and the new ones try to upsell you on the high-end products and at least one of the new guys is pretty insulting if you don't buy them. Caitilin Is a Miracle Worker 12/17/2009

Let's start with my hair - curly, thick, boring brown. I had highlights until my hair was nearly all blonde (and fried). My stylist moved a year ago and I had one bad experience after another looking for someone new so I decided if anyone is going to mess up my hair, it might as well be me...so I tried to do it myself. Needless to say, by the time I met Caitlin at this salon, my hair was bad, bad, bad. Caitlin listened to me and used her magic skills to make my hair beautiful. I've been getting SOOO many compliments. She has a great personality and is a talented stylist, she really took the extra time to make me comfortable and my hair soft and pretty again. I highly reccomend her and hopefully she never moves! Pros: Amazing stylists, nice salon, great personalities Cons: None. more

My hair looks like I was born with golden locks! It's healthy and shiny, which is important as I grow it out. Bogart has been truly terrific -- an overall perfectionist with a fun, happy, low-key style. He gives me his full attention and a careful consultation with each appointment. more

Best Hair Style of My Life 9/5/2009

I went out on a limb and tried Lauren's Salon based on the reviews here and the fact they are participating in salon week. I loved it! They are extremely friendly, and all really know their stuff. Mary did an absolute fantastic job on my hair. After consulting with her, we dyed my hair a dark brown and changed the cut. It looks amazing. This is easily the best it has ever looked. I am new to LA and have been so nervous to find a good stylist that I can trust and afford. Michelle is the most fun and professional stylist I have ever been to. You can tell she knows what she is doing because she always tells me what she is going to do and why, before she does it. I get stopped almost everyday because of my new cut and color. Michelle is wonderful with both cut and color. I always liked my hair, but she gave me a great update that I like even better, with a much more attractive color with a beautiful shine. Beri's Extension are one of the Best in LA 7/2/2009

Beri has done my hair extensions for the past 4 years and she is by far the best. Nobody can tell that I have extensions. I get a lot of compliments on my hair, my hair is really long down to my waist. In between move-ups I usually loose just a fewstrands. The last 3 month I only lost one, which was the record. My extensions feel and look so natural that it is easier to take care of my hair than before I had extensions, because of the different auburn copper highlights & shades the extensions come in. I don't constantly have to highlight my hair, because the extensions are already that color. Therefore I only have to put highlights on top of my hair every 4 month and it still looks very natural! I have had my hair extensions for about 5 years. Beri was recommended to me from a friend of mine. I got hair extensions because my hair was thin. When I went to see Beri she was very professional and knowledgeable about hair extensions. She was detailed in her analysis of my hair and when I got my hair done I was so impressed, the color match was perfect, the texture of my hair was perfect and 5 years later I couldn't be happier. The quality of the work that Beri does is so incredibly good that noone can tell I have extensions. In the beginning, I was very reluctant to getting my hair done since it was a cost investment and also the fact that I lived in Pittsburgh, PA 2500 miles away from Beri. I am so glad I got my extensions. At this point in my life I would never go back to my real hair. I travel every two months to see her and time after time she just keeps impressing me with the quality of her work. She has never let me down. The best place/person for hair extensions 6/4/2009

I did extensive research on hair extensions and found that HairLocs was the way to go for its low-maintenance, versatility, and a completely natural look. I came across Beri Halouska- a specialist with HairLocs and after one consultation, I have happily returned to her again and again. Not only is she very sweet, funny, and smart- Beri has a great eye for aesthetics/beauty but a very high standard of professionalism as well. She is efficient and skilled but she also takes time to listen and perfect her work. I am a low- maintenance girl but Beri and HairLocs has made it so easy for me.
