I too can't believe the horrible reviews I'm reading. Hilton's is the only place in Whatcom County that I've found with shoes that will fit my awful feet and leave me with a smile...

Worst service ever. I was not even acknowledged and those who walked in after me, we're helped. After15 minutes I walked out. Hope this is NOT the BEST Bellingham has to offer. more

If your feet hurt but you're fashionable, go to Hilton's 12/8/2011

I too can't believe the horrible reviews I'm reading. Hilton's is the only place in Whatcom County that I've found with shoes that will fit my awful feet and leave me with a smile when I'm done shopping. I've been shopping there for YEARS (like most Bellinghamsters), and not once have I had a negative experience or rude interaction! And I'm a nightmare--plantar fasciitis, bunions, wide width, high arch, the whole shebang! Beautiful, quality shoes, superb, friendly, & knowledgable service, and local and family-owned! Could a Hamster ask for more? There have been times when I just came in for a fit adjustment, not even looking to buy and have been treated respectfully and politely. I highly reccommend going to Hilton's if you need a good, quality, comfortable pair of shoes. more

Best Shoe Store in NW Washington 11/19/2011

Wow, I really can't believe the negative reviews here. I have never bothered with writing reviews on sites like this, but I absolutely had to register and respond here. I have been shopping at Hiltons for about 20 years, and have NEVER had a bad experience. They carry a very wide range of very good quality shoes. You will pay much more than a discount outlet, for sure. But I have a pair of Dansko clogs from them and they are over 5 years old. Wat I love the most is they are not just ""old lady orthopedic"" looking (not that there's anything wrong with that and they do have those too), but many of the leading high-quality brands. The last two pairs I bought they even custom - stretched them for me to accommodate my lumpy foot. Don't believe what you read, though, go check them out for yourself. Oh, and I wear faded jeans and no jewelry. more

hilton's Shoes Bellingham WA 6/10/2010

After having a particular brand of shoes suggested by my orthopedic doc, I went to Hilton's (closest outlet) - What a frustrating, infuriating experience. How they are in business I will never know. I was prepared to buy 3 pairs of very expensive shoes - the owner was rude, pretentious, condescending and a jerk. I was prepared to spend about $1000 to help feet that are killing me. I walked out - I read other reviews to find I am not the first for sure. I had returned from a long flight, was tired and not dressed up, so he might not thought I was ""good enough"" to be a customer - I found another shop in Lynwood that carries the brand so I will try there. Hilton's selection is great, but what difference does it make. Don't bother. Pros: Great Selection of Shoes Cons: Worst Service Ever more

Incredibly pretentious 4/19/2010

They are awful! Just last Saturday at the farmers market an entire group had a discussion about the horrible service you receive at Hilton's... I do not for the life of me know how they are still in business... I also wait a few years in between visits in hopes it was just an off day for them, but no! They are consistently rude, year in and year out. I have found one way to get them to be nice though... Wear all your fanciest jewelry and your biggest diamond ring and they will run like a thoroughbred at the Kentucky Derby! And, it's a little bit of redemption to at the end tell them they don't have what you were looking for! Shame on you Hilton's! Pros: nothing that will make me set foot in there again. more

great show store 4/10/2010

My experiences at Hilton's was great. Loved the service. They carry SAS shoes which I love. Even if they order me a pair of shoes they didn't push me to buy it if I wasn't satisfied. I will always shop there. Pros: shoe selection more

I want them to be great, but sadly they are not. 2/26/2010

There is something about customer service in this town. When I moved here years ago, I couldn't quite figure it out. When I first saw Hilton's I was so excited. I real hometown, local shoe store. Then I went in... You are treated as if you are a bother. Heaven forbid you place a special order and the shoe comes in defective. Somehow that is treated as your fault and two different sales people have to inspect the shoe before they will order a different pair. I thought maybe, after all these years I was the only one who felt this way. I started asking my friends who always have smart stylish footwear. They too, agree with sadness that they are forced to shop elsewhere because they too, are turned off by HIlton's service. About once a year, I give it another go. I think, ""Surely things are different now, I mean, they are still in business."" I end up buying a pair of shoes, I'm happy with the shoes, but I don't leave wanting to go back anytime soon. Today I tried to go again. I couldn't remember what time they closed. I parked, ran up to check the sign, the neon sign still read ""Open"", the hours I misread to be until 6pm. I gathered my kids up, and trudged through the rain up to the door. The sign was now off. However there was still a customer in the store and a store clerk standing at the door looking straight at me. I understand closing time. I respect closing time. I did not expect nor would I have wanted to go into the store and keep people after hours. The man standing at the doors pretended not to see me. He would not make eye contact. A simple, ""Sorry, we close at 5:30, but will reopen at blank"" would have sufficed. A simple inquisition to see if I was just picking something up. But no. Just a blank stare past me as if I wasn't even there. Sorry Hilton's after about 7 strikes, you are out with this shoer. Pros: Quality shoes, the brands I am looking for Cons: Service more
