I will admit that this French bakery lost some of its "neighborhood ease" when the ingredients went all-organic and the prices went through the roof, but its still authentic and gourmet pastries served alongside perfectly executed espresso drinks. If you don't dig the organic scene, you might not be into paying 5 dollars for an almond croissant, but you may be won over by the imported decor and classic French waiters. The weekends are a mob scene, so go early to enjoy the charming sidewalk tables and the pretentious hipster crowds.
