They were really great dealing with talking to my dad who is normally my mechanic which was appreciated. They kept him and I informed about what was happening with my car. It took a couple extra days to get the parts they needed but they worked quickly and were very helpful and knowledgable. My only complaint is that I took my car in for a coolant leak and, without asking, they replaced my wipers. I wasn't too worried since they needed to be replaced and the charge was only $32, but they didn't ask before they did it. They did ask before replacing the knock sensor which was the majority of the cost, and not actually needing to be changed. more

Professionalism / Cost / Location 3/24/2014

I constantly take my vehicles to Eastside for regular maintenance and repair situations. Without a doubt this Eastside location is by far the best service facility around. The staff is so professional and the work that has been done and will continue to be done on both of my vehicles will be done at Eastside. I want to thank Scott especially for the assistance he gives me every time I come in. Thank you very much for all you do for me. more

major repair = major concern 2/20/2014

After previous major & minor shopwork on two of my cars it was time to bring my Long_Saved, Sweat_Earned cash together for one the most involved and risk deep projects a car and owner face. The heater core needed R & R. I interviewed shop techs at other locations including GM, Ford, Mopar, BMW, and Independent local and out of area shops. All, including Eastside were less than persuasive about the work to be done. None were headfirst eager to reel me in. All want the job but didn't care when. Having been with Eastside already for three major repairs, I permitted myself to expand the comfort level. Eastside got the job. The third day was when my doubts were confirmed. This repair was over their heads. At the end of eight days my car was back home again, in her driveway, shivering, traumatized by the ordeal I had put her through. The work should reasonably be finished in two days. With some difficulties, threes days. The guys who did the work assured me that they were familiar with the work to be done. I discovered otherwise. They were apt to do the R&R by teaming up and learning as they proceeded to disassemble the dashboard completely. A 100% parts pull out of the components that fill and comprise the dashboard assembly. Today, any other customer could confidently bring their heater core work to this shop. After all, a full week and a day provided ample opportunity for this shop to learn and attain a new skill by practicing on my car. This car owner will need time, as will my car, for recuperation after this involved procedure which lasted five days too long. Similar to surgery, the doctors needed to get an inventory of tools and sponges left in the patient before closing up the suturing. A coach doesn't bench a pitcher for throwing a walkoff game winning Homerun pitch to the batter. He shows him in the non game practices what to throw and ideas for what to think when in that pressure cooker next time. These guys are ok line technicians. I'll be getting more work done in the future on more cars. Will they be doing the work? more

Pleasurable Experience 2/8/2014

If anyone has the patience to put up my rants and raves, they deserve the Medal of Honor for Nuisance Management. I tried to get service for under $5 but that didn't happen. What I did get is prompt service at a reasonable price with excellent customer service. I think the prompt was their way of saying "Your done. you can go now." I have that effect on people sometimes. However, my car is very happy and now I have to really pay attention to the speed limit. more

I went here for an oil change a month ago and they spilled oil all over the engine. The guy who spilled the oil came to me and apologized for the accident and said he “cleaned” it. He didn’t do a very good job, my car smelled of burning oil for four days. When I checked under the hood, I found that my engine was still covered in oil. I took my car back so they could clean it again. When I got there I was greeted by the same guy who spilled the oil and he said he would fix it for me. I was shocked and appalled as he drove my car into the shop with the hood still open! He “fixed” the problem again and sent me home. After four weeks I noticed the car was leaking. I opened the hood again to find that it STILL had oil all over it because the guy forgot to put the cap back on. When I checked the dipstick my oil was empty. So I went back AGAIN and asked the manger to come and take a look at what his employee had done. The manager was extremely rude and said “I’m sorry, but I don’t have time we are about to close”. I saw the guy who messed up my car and called him over. I asked him if he remembered me and my car, because I had a problem with his work. He said that he did and I explained my problem to him. After listening to my story the guy who messed up my car accused me of seeing another oil change shop. I hadn’t been and told them so, the manager then accused a new high school employee for the problem. The manager then asked me to leave my car there so that he could give me a free cleaning. \r What is wrong with these people?!? First they refuse to help me, accuse me of taking my car to somebody else, then blame some new kid, and then ask me to leave my car so they could clean it for free. I told the manager no and that I didn’t trust them with my car. If I were you I wouldn’t either!\r more

Wouldn't trust them further then I can throw em..... Paying for Yelp reviews is pretty pathetic! Oh and if you get anything done to your car make sure it was actually done. If you have an alignment it would be worth it to have someone trusted double check the work. Actually make sure you get the actual parts you paid for. They like to charge you for the expensive OEM parts, but put the cheap Chinese parts on instead! more

Responsive and Reliable 12/7/2011

After several experiences now with both my car and my son's car I can say that I would highly recommend them. They inspected the cars on short notice, provided quick evaluations of what needed to be repaired, and completed the repairs within the time and cost quoted. I felt that the service we received was highly professional and extremely couteous. more

Great Service 12/4/2011

I've been going to Eastside Auto for 10 years and always get great service on something as small as an oil change or big like a ""shock"" issue. They always take great care of me and at a resonable price. I highly recommend going there. more

Great for a wide range 11/28/2011

I live in Bellevue and never go over to 85th Street, but a friend recommended Eastside Auto to me. They offer a reasonable oil change and very competitive rates on tires. But most importantly they listen to your overall situation. We have a really old car that frequently needs work, and they always give us options, keeping in mind what the long term plan is for that particular car. My husband has an expensive foreign car and they are very competent in getting parts---and being a lot better priced than the dealership. more

Eastside Automotive on 85th 11/22/2011

We took our Subaru there in a mad dash to get an oil change when our regular mechanic couldn't fit us in. They not only fit us in, they completed the job in record time, doing an awesome job and spotted a couple other items that we needed to address before our road trip. Things that could have been disasterous if they had failed. I've worked on cars for years and knew they weren't just 'jobbing' the project. But had valuable input and valid concerns. How WE missed that in our over view is amazing. Guess we assume that car will run forever! Hopefully, with Eastsides help, it will :) Thanks to my new pit crew!!! more

Highly reccommend 11/22/2011

I've used Eastside for about 3 years now for routine maintenance of our family cars - tires, brakes, battery changes, oil changes etc. I've found them to be upfront and reliable. If you need to wait they have a spacious and comfortable waiting area. more

Fabulous Service 11/21/2011

I had a bolt in my tire and the guys @ Eastside Automotive were wonderful!!! They were very welcoming when I walked in the door with my 3 girl's. They took my car back right away to take a look @ the tire. While we were waiting they helped my girl's find their favorite show on their large big screen t.v.....my girl's thought it was great! After checking it out they also noticed the air was low on my tires and filled them up. They finished up and did not charge me a dime. Back my car up right to the door because it was raining so hard and sent us on our way! I would certainly take my car there again and would buy my tires there too. What a fabulous experience it was! If you need a great place to take your car...this is where you should go!!!!!! more

Great people 9/10/2009

I needed new tires on my truck and immediately started shopping for tires online. I was thinking it would be most cost effective to order the tire online and have the tires shipped somewhere nearby. more

Not recommended 7/11/2008

I took my car there to get new tires put on. They did the job in too much of a hurry and failed to clean the rim of one of the tires, causing the tire to leak air. I noticed it several days later when my tire - the brand new one - was flat. They suggested I have it realigned. I took it to Elliott's next door who did the job right - and Elliott's didn't charge me for it. more
