Still waiting for paid order! 1/25/2010

I paid for a Kel-Tec firearm in Oct. 09. I understood that it would take about 2 months for it to arrive at Doug's. Now going into Feb. 2010, it seems a more than a little too long for the firearm to arrive. I have called the beginning of each month, but now I will start calling every two weeks. They have no "name list" to track paid customers and for backorder purchases. more

Very Good 12/24/2009

A friend of mine took me there to target practice. While the shooting range needs a face lift. The overall range ok, after all you are firing guns which contain gun powder. I found the sales people to be very helpful. Knowledgeable about their stock. The sales are also very friendly, specially Monte. The gun prices are very goood. more

not friendly 3/19/2009

All i would say about Doug's is they have alright prices for the area of Salt lake, But the service is horrible. I had a young man help my father-in-law and I, he was arrogant and seemed self centered. The kid was an ass!!!! The facility itself was dirty and smelled like a old folks home, i was not impressed. more

never shop there 2/17/2009

my wife went in to look for a pistol and she stood at the counter waiting for help and they would help people that came in after her but they would'nt give her the time of day so after 10 min. she finally walked out very upset,so called the manager and he was very rude to me and used every excuse he could think of to try to justify his employees actions. more

Unimpressed 1/14/2009

I have frequented this business often over the years because there are in a handy proximity to my home. However without fail I find the counter help to be rude, arrogant and irritable. They behave as though I am inconveniencing them with questions and purchases. The prices are reasonable and the products quality - the people need some coaching on customer service. More and more in the valley there are other options for my weapons purchases. more

Doug's Shoot'n Sports 9/18/2006

Doug's Shoot'n Sports has great customer service. The employees are always extremely nice and helpful. The prices on their firearms are the best around in the Salt Lake Valley. However, the shooting range is a little less than to be desired. Only about half of the target retrieve systems work...the targets themselves sag...and if there is more than three people there shooting--well good luck in getting a good lane! With the up in price for range fees, the owners of this joint should've already placed in better target retrieval systems. That being said, it would've been a perfect score of 5 stars, but because of this I'm only going to rate it 3 stars. more

Doug's Shoot'n Sports is a decent place. Out of the last three firearms I have purchased I purchased two there due to price and service. Great place, be sure to ask for Dennis. more

  • Doug's Shoot'N Sports was started by Doug Larsen in 1974, and in 1984 became the first establishment in Utah to offer services of its kind. Though Doug has retired and his son Dave takes care of the store, the early traditions Doug about treating our customers as good friends-are still employed today.
