Fun for kids 10/9/2005

The Children's Discovery Museum Of San Jose is a great place for your kids. The admission fee is $7 for adults and kids. They have many things to play and experience and children can have so much fun here. Even the parents can have fun and won't feel boring. My kids just love this place. more

Children's Discovery Museum 8/30/2005

The Children's Discovery museum in downtown is a great hands on experience for kids (and even adults). Their permanent attractions are: bubble making area, traffic intersection with stop lights, ambulance and fire truck, water play area (balls, boats) and tennis ball track (you'll know it when you see it). Theyll vary the upstairs exhibits a couple times per year. The last time we went it was an exhibit on motion with rubber band slingshot cars and different audio experiences (foreign music/instruments, songs). more

Fun Family Day 8/4/2005

We LOVE the children's discovery. Although it is a bit pricey to get in, it is worth the cost because there is so much to do. They have a special section upstairs designed just for toddlers and babies where they offer music classes, art classes, play areas all for no extra cost. They also have special plays and shows throughout the day with reading hours. The whole place is very kid-friendly and designed for parents with young children. They have a family changing room, which is good so that the husband can't get out of changing the baby! My girls LOVE this place. PROS: fun for little ones, kid-friendly and safe. CONS: wouldn't recommend for over age 10 more

Discovery Museum 7/30/2005

The Discovery Museum has a lot of hands on experiments and activities. This can help the children learn more about science, their evironment, and technology while having the time of their lives; Also , you will have fun yourself. Admission is not too costly and it's less than going to an amusement park, and is also more educational and enjoying for you and the kids. Would definitely recommend this museum for kids of all ages. more

Excellent 7/27/2005

This is a must for anyone with kids. There is so much to do - old fire truck, an ambulance, a post office, a bubble area, a water area (and that's just downstairs). Upstairs is a toddler area, a quiet reading room and a place where you can make a corn dolly. There's also a small garden. Parking is across the street - which you have to pay for. more

the BEST place to take kids 7/26/2005

The Discovery Museum is the BEST place to take children. It's so much fun. Worth purchasing a year pass (paid for itself in a couple of trips). They've recently opened a toddler/little kid area upstairs which is fabulous. Little ones can paint, weigh sand, climb, run without the fear of older kids knocking them over. The water area is always a huge hit. Remember to take a towel and spare clothes, the kids get soaked to the skin. more

A fun place for Kids of all ages 7/25/2005

The Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose is a fun place for kids of all ages. There are many exhibits for children to interact with water and bubbles, hand's on experiments and play area. There is a special room for toddlers and they always work on new fun exhibits and games. They also offer workshops which you need to pre-register. The admission fee is quite high if you come with more people, but they offer membership. There is public parking nearby. more

Great experience for kids 10/18/2002

The Bubbles exhibit was our son's favorite! Crawling through a real fire engine and ambulance was also a highlight. We stayed at the museum for two hours and our three-year old didn't get bored. It was worth the trip! Pros: exhibits Cons: parking fees more
