This is a great place to take your kids and at the time I went , they even offered free admission to families in need on certain days.
The exhibits are all hands on- open things up, touch everything, make things, play with everything! You won't find anything behind a velvet cord here!

My uncle took me here on my free day. I usually don't enjoy museums, but he thought that I'd like it since I am a geek. This place had lots of interesting old technologies and also history of how technology and innovation got to where they are now. Very enlightening. If you have kids, I recommend taking them there to give them some understanding of life before all these technologies. They will develop an appreciation for the technology and the things we have now.

This art museum is free of admission, although they do appreciate donations. They display great artworks of all centuries. Although I do not know a lot about art myself, I have to say that it is a great place to take friends or a date and just spend a day to pick each other's brains. It is a nice quiet environment to simply appreciate the arts of different cultures and times. Plus its right next to the Museum of Innovation, so you could hop over there after checking this one out.

I would recommend it because it has large ice rinks, and benches are pretty comfortable. There is an arcade. I would not recommend it for beginners because fast skaters zoom by you which makes you loose balance.

I bought an electric airplane, the Ascent Electric ARF, from this store. They have a ton of different brands and types of model electric cars, planes, and boats, so make sure you consult with a worker before embarking on purchasing one on your own. They explain that each one has different optimal performance requirements and depending on where you plan to operate the model and in what kind of whether, specific types will suit you better. My Ascent Electric ARF is great fun, I take it out every weekend with a couple of buddies who have models and fly it around in an open field behind my house.

I think this store every one of the best brands available in the snowsports industry. I cant understand why some one would say they have a "crappy" selection. Perhaps they dont know much about skiing and snowboarding brands....? Knowledgeable staff, big store, best brands, service rentals, good deals...what else could you want?

On certain days, they hold tournaments. I suggest anyone looking for a thrill to go to Bay 101 and try your luck. It's an excellent place to enjoy yourself, win or lose.

If you're looking for used military goods and some outdoor clothing, Stevens Creek Surplus Dept Store is a great place to find it. The prices are reasonable and they have a large selection of Dickie's, Ben Davis, and other various brands known for their work gear. They have an entire side room full of bags--old military duffels and cute girly purses. My only gripe about this store is that it was difficult to find anything because it just had so much stuff.
So, if you do need supplies, this is a great store. Only go when you have lots of time to look because you might get lost in a jungle of stuff!

Mel Cotton's is the best Sporting Goods store in the south bay. They have the best, most knowledgeable service people. When I recently decided to buy skis, one of the sales people dropped what he was doing and came and helped me pick out what would be right for me. He asked a lot of questions about what level skier I am, and how often I ski, before recommending something.
I also shop there for all my fly fishing supplies. They also have a huge selection of camping equipment for sale and rent. Overall, a great place to shop.
