As you can see from my profile, I don't write company reviews very often; however, I feel it is important for me to write about my recent experience with California Autobuff (CAB).
I performed much research before deciding on a location to take my car for a detailing. While my car wasn't awful, there were some minor stains and spills that I wanted to be cleaned really well (sticky stuff in compartments, etc.). The outside of the car had dirt and bugs on it from my regular long drive to south Georgia (hadn't been washed in a year, probably).
I have always been disappointed with spending ~$40 at car detailing locations in the past (never was as clean as I expected). So, I decided to go Premium for $250...but that obviously meant I expected near perfection. I was hesitant, worried I would be upset yet again.
I reached out to the owner of CAB and alerted him of the current state of my car and concerns for ensuring that things would really be cleaned (not just wiped down). He assured me they use professional steaming, etc. to get the seats, floor mats, compartments, etc. clean. I went back and forth with the owner several times via email and phone - while I know he got annoyed, he was generally professional (and always timely) in helping me with my concerns.
I took my car in and pointed out my primary concerns and then went across the street to the bookstore (free internet!). CAB called me about 3 hours later letting me know the car was ready.
I am VERY pleased with the results! I am almost certain they just went out and bought a new car and pretended it was mine. =) The outside looks amazing and he cleaned all of the stains inside. The compartments look brand new. He even cleaned the engine and gas cap area!
A coworker got in my car yesterday and looked around and said, ""is this a rental? This isn't your car."" Worth every penny...
I was very pleased with the service and results and look forward to going back for regular washes several times per year.
