Calder City Taxi

I called this company to get a cab. The woman who answered the phone was very very rude, rushed me off the phone after taking my order and did not even ask me what the apartment number was. I tried asking how long it would be and I was told that my cab would be there when they could. I waited for 45 minutes before calling back and when I did...i couldn't believe it: The SAME LADY told me that she had never received my call, and that if I wanted a cab I need not lie about having called. I told her that I would never call them again, and that I was going to post a review here. She told me to go right ahead, as she had no clue who in the world used the internet. I called the other cab, yellow cab, 459-4646, and they got me within 10 minutes. I still cannot believe how horribly I was treated by that woman. I will NEVER use that company again. EVER. more

I’ve used Calder City once or twice for trips to and from the downtown bars. Calder City claims to be the largest cab fleet in the city. Both times I’ve used Calder City, they drivers have been friendly and professional. I know the routes and roads in this city pretty well and never had a case of them running up the fare on me. The only problem I’ve had with them is dispatching. While they can find most bars and restaurants just fine, they can have some trouble finding your home or apartment to pick you up. Both times I’ve used them, it took them upwards of 30-40 minutes to come and pick me up, which I wouldn’t expect from a company with the largest fleet. In both instances, they blamed the dispatcher. Overall, however, I’ve found Calder City to be a decent cab service and will probably use them again. You may have better results if you live on a well-known street or area. more
