Pay attention to your bill! 4/1/2012

My husband and I went to see the dinner and show on a saturday night for our anniversary. first it was hard getting info from the restaurant staff about making reservations for the dnnner and show. I finally get the number and I call tomake reservations. They tell me it is 47.50 for three course dinner and show so we pay over the phones no refunds of course. I ask her if that includes evrything she says yes except drinks so I figure it is not so bad. We get there all is well the restaurant is beautiful. The show is good but the when we get the bill the drinks are very expensive but what angered me most was that they tacked on a %18 tip to a $123 bill for two people!! They never mentioned that they would hose with an extra $50 dollars plus tax!!! WE will NEVER go back to those bunch of thieves!!! NEVER! more

Best in Spanish cuisine and entertainment! 12/2/2010

This is probably the best you can get to authentic Spanish cuisine in Long Beach. The happy hour appetizers and prices cannot be beat. The live music is loud but not deafening. The atmosphere is semi-dark but not obnoxiously so. My favorite is their paella with all the meats. They used to have a Sunday brunch but now it's just a brunch menu. Anyways, its one of the few nicer places to dine on Sunday mornings. more

Amazing service, and a meal unlike anything in LB. 4/15/2009

An experience not to be forgotten! Sevilla served up amazing plates of hot tapas prepared with the most amazing sauces...I was licking my plate! The servers know all about Spanish food, customs and wines...I really felt like I was being taken on a tour of Spain. I recommend the Black Paella, and you have to try one of their Spanish wines...I had the Faustino. Don't forget to leave room for dessert, their Sevilla Sundae was to die for! Bravo! Pros: Most amazing Spanish Wine Selection I've seen! Cons: Gets very busy if you don't have a reservation. more

Apparently $10 a glass of wine isn't enough..Pay Attention to Extra Charges on Your Bill!! 3/6/2009

So, a friend & I decided we wanted to go out for some wine and appetizers. (Note: on a Wednesday night ) .We got there & the waitress came & asked us if we had ever been there before. We told her we had not. They had a long list of Tempranillo's on their wine menu & the waitress described the few offered by glass for me. We chose one each at $10 a glass. We then ordered 4 Tapas. A busboy came by to drop off our waters & asks us if he could bring us some bread. We say, sure why not. The bread was warm but way too hard & crusty. Not even the middle of the loaf had any softness to it. I felt like i needed a steak knife to cut it into pieces to be able to eat it since i could barely tear it with my teeth. Our wine came out, which was great. Then our tapas: the calamari & potato cheese torta were good but not blown away. The green mussels were not that great & The octopus was way over cooked & hard & chewy. So, 2 of the tapas were Ok, & 2 sucked. We then ordered another glass of the same wine each. When our bill came we noticed that 1) Our second round of wine was .50 cents more each glass than the first round & 2) they charged us $4 for the bread!!!! We asked our waitress about this. Her reply was, 'well, bread is a tapas'...we told her that we didn't know that, it was offered to us by the busser & since most restaurants offer free bread we assumed it was. we were never told otherwise. She then gets very annoyed & rudely says, 'well it's on the menu but i'll take it off' as she walks away all huffy. As for the wine? Apparently they charge you .50 cents PER DRINK after 9pm as an entertainment charge. WTF?!? I have never heard of this practice before. The waitress should have told us that as we ordered our 2nd round. If not for this greedy kind of business I would have come back, not for the food but for the wine & music. Thanks to this I will never return. Everyone I told has no intention of going there ever. Absolutely Appalling! Pros: Lots of Tempranillos on list, Music Cons: Overcharging, Eh Food more

Awful service, crappy food 3/2/2009

The service was embarrassingly slow and rude. The food was sub-par. Even with half-price paella it wasn't worth it. It wasn't even paella, just seafood on rice. Overall it was terrible. more

Beautiful Ambiance & Friendly Service 2/16/2009

Having also been to the San Diego location, the Long Beach is the newer and sleeker restaurant. As you enter, the ambiance is gorgeous and the red tapestry wall paper, dim red lighting and huge oak bar take you into a more modern place in Spain. I would highly suggest their TAPAS rather than entrees like the cheese fundido and dates stuffed with cabrales bleu cheese. They offer a great classic spanish wine called, Marquez, that one can never go wrong with. The staff was very attentive and the food came out timely. Even though the San Diego offers a better tasting menu, Long Beach Sevilla was a great choice! Pros: Ambiance & Service Cons: Parking more

Sevilla Club BE AWARE 1/24/2009

This is not a place you would go if you are looking for an enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, my friends and I were attacked by their security guards for no apparent reason. Our group of friends consisted of three married couples looking to have fun and to dance. However, it was the worst thing that ever happened to us. Within three minutes of arriving into the club the security guards took my husband away without an explanation. This was the most frightening experience I would never wish on anyone. I strongly recommend you consider your safety when you enter this club. If you are looking for a place to donate your money and feel threaten for yourself or your spouse this is the place to be. Be aware that they will take your money and belongings and throw you out. Even though we had proof of a check-in ticket we had to insist that the club return our purses and coats to us. Please reconsider visiting this club or be cautious. I am sure there are better and safer clubs to visit. Pros: Nice Music Cons: The Security Guards more
