This place should be a NATIONAL TREASURE! I have patronized this place for almost 20 yrs., and have never been disappointed; classes, herbs, books, oils, incense, but ahhh, Judith is by far the real reason I return. A woman of few words, but those few are golden, and reliable.
If you visit, look for her, and get the reading of a lifetime. You will be amazed.

Yankee Doodles is one of my boyfriend's favorite pool halls that he likes to go to frequently. I like it as well because they also have arcade games in addition to the pool tables so I can play some arcade games there while my boyfriend plays some pool. There are a lot of people that go there too, even kids.

It sounds to me Song R. wasn,t able to get S.A.F. to change there entire program to fit his wants.He is correct about graduates managing this program,anyone whos been around recovery knows that a verry high percentage of rehabs are ran the same way.So us in recovery know this person is a complete moron who was unable to get sober.For those of you who are unfamiliar don,t for a second believe a word of this nonsense.I am an S.A.F. alumni I am a recovering heroin addict I entered S.A.F. 1997 with the clothes on my back tired of spending my iife behid bars i was never able to stay out of prison more than a month since age of 19 also spent a good amount of time in the juvenile system. I was state raised all because of a drug addiction I started at 16.Ill cut the rest short I have not been back to jsil since walking through the doors of S.A.F. I had no job skills when i arrived i am now self employed thanks to all S.A.F. had to offer . I myself was an S.A.F. employee for two years. At that time they had well over a million dollar annual payrole a lot of which went to parolees. I owe my life to S.A.F. Need I say more. So please don,t let this Song person mis lead you.

Whats cool about this Japanese Garden is that is located appropriately enough for students at Cal State Long Beach. Actually, it is addressed the same as Long Beach State. The garden isn't a huge garden, but it's got many plants, trees, and shrubs that give the garden its healthy green natural wonderful look. In the middle of the garden is a huge pond with a bridge you can walk over. Whats best is the koi in the pond, with hundreds of them at different sizes and different rainbow colors. Whats cool is that you can feed the fish with the food provided at the garden. You pay a quarter for the food bits, then you can walk up the pond and put your hand in the water. All the koi will literally swim at you the instant you hand touches the water. Don't worry, they don't bite, they don't have teeth! The garden also has a nice ground path so you can walk around and tour the garden in circles. I love going here to relax or just to have fun feeding the fish.

The Long Beach Museum of Art has a nice little niche for itself. It has a great location, right on the ocean nestled in-between two parks. Some art museums in similar, moderately large cities try to bolster their collections by purchasing lesser works by well-collected artists. But what's the point of having a Picasso or a Monet just to have one? LBMA has collected wisely, focusing mainly on California artists and the decorative arts, building a strong and unique collection in these areas. It's small, but worth a visit. Be sure to visit the cafe and have a beverage on the patio facing the water.

If you are trying to preserve a family or friend memory this is a good place to shop at. They have big walls with thousands of stickers that you can put in your scrapbook for every occasion. They have all kinds of art paper and pens and markers. It is not cheap but it isn't unaffordable either.

The Long Beach Ice Dogs are the AA affiliate of the Montreal Canadians. They play at the Long Beach Arena, a medium-sized facility that is conveniently located in downtown LB, though a bit outdated. The team is usually fairly mediocre, but the games are fun and the prices are right. I usually go to a handful of games every year, but attendence seems to suffer by the presence of 2 NHL teams within a forty minute drive of city limts.
