It is a beautiful, breathtaking place, and I hope all the financial difficulties ARE behind them because it would be a shame to see this place go downhill. Every trip there is as memorable as the last. more

Bijou Theatre Center 8/20/2005

The Bijou has been in Knoxville for years. It's a very important landmark in the downtown area. Inside it is very beautifully decorated and the seats are nice and wide and have room for your handbag. The staff is very friendly and will gladly give you a tour if you ask them. I give this place a thumbs up. more

I love going to the Bijou Theatre Center. The only sad part is at one time they were talking about closing it. It is a fun place to take kids and friends. A true treasure. This is a classic theatre! Go see it while you can! Long live this great Bijou Theatre Center. more

Save the Bijou 8/16/2005

The Bijou is still one of my favorite Knoxville pets. This longtime non-profit is worth saving for the artistic identity of the city. Poorly management and streaks of bad luck hopefully behind it, the Bijou could once again become a magical place for live artistic performances. The children's programs alone make the theater worth saving. Hopefully it will find the people to make it once again accessible to the whole community. more
