Avalon Nightclub

Avalon is my favorite nightclub in Sac (and I've been to all of them). Lately I've been going on Wednesday or Friday. Saturday is mostly a younger hip-hop crowd, but if you want to dance and hear good music there's no other club worth going to. Wednesdays for Happy Hour have free food, live bands and Karaoke and Fridays is more RnB. We always have a REALLY good time when we go. more

My wife just turned thirty and got her degree. We have two kids and never get to go out. We reserved a VIP best booth they had, rented an H2 limo and proceeded to party. We arrived at the club; I got two bottles of Patron and some Grey Goose. We were about to have a great time. During the drive to the club my wife got car sick from sitting sideways for an hour in the limo. Right after we got there she threw up. They kicked her out. She was the guest of honor and so morally we all (fifteen of us) had to leave. They would not let me take the freshly opened bottles and charged me $852 for the booth and the alcohol. AVOID THIS CLUB!!!!!!!!!! Note: It was supposed to be the best booth in the club, view of the dance floor was blocked by a screen. We left and went to a club that cost us $5 to get in and had a great time. more

Generally speaking, Avalon Night Club is packed with clubbers. It is really hot in there and you get really sweaty while dancing. I did not really like the music because they play mostly hip hop. The bar is great and the prices are affordable. If you smoke, you have to go out onto the patio to do it. more

I have nothing but good things to say about this nightclub because I have enjoyed myself to the fullest everytime I have been there. The cover is fairly reasonable and on top of that they always offer different ways to get on their guestlist to where you and a guest do not have to pay a cover to get in. It is typically a 21+ nightclub, but they do occassionally offer 18+ nights. They have three full service bars inside with two rooms inside and an outside patio where smoking is allowed. The music is typically top 40 and club hits in one room and Latin music in the other. This club also offers a lounge area for those of us who are not into dancing and VIP booths can also be purchased for special events. This is a good place to hang loose and right now it is my favorite club in Sacramento. more
