Andrew's 228

Andrew's is the perfect place to enjoy meals and drinks with colleagues, friends and family. The location is convenient, the service is prompt and the food is delicious. My family and I had lunch at Andrews Capital Bar and Grille under the recommendation of the Tourist Board in downtown Tallahassee. Centrally located, opposite the Capital building, this is a real gem. The service was excellant, the salads fresh, crisp and delicious. The burgers were juicy without being greasy with pleasant seasoning, and grilled to perfection. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Daytime patrons were a mix of business people, politicians, and a few tourists. I would imagine this is a great meeting place for college students during the evenings, as it is just up the hill from FSU. Nice ambience and atmosphere, fun and affordable for a decent evening out. more

Andrew's 228 is right beside Andrew's (the more casual of the two sister restaurants), down the stairs. It is cozy and has a modern feel. Not dark or basementlike at all, it is a very romantic place for a date or a fun, trendy place to have dinner with friends. The food is excellent. The steak, served atop homemade mashed potatoes with roasted garlic cloves, is some of the best steak I have ever had. The appetizers are great, the wine is superb, and the service is excellent. The music is quiet and the place is a great place for conversation. Amazingly, the price is right. They offer some dinner specials that are hard to beat and are rare for this caliber of restaurant. You will not be disappointed. The only complaint is the parking...downtown Tallahassee is not known for good parking...but that is hardly the fault of the restaurant! more

This place is a favorite with the politicians. Sit outside or inside this sports bar located conveniently in downtown Tally. And if you're craving a home cooked meal, try “T.K.’s” Homemade Meatloaf. By far, my favorite meal. To quench your thirst, choose from one of their many beers. Overall it's a nice place to go on a nice day. more
