I had an appointment to have my boiler serviced today, on a day when several emergency heating issues occurred. My appointment was delayed, but I was updated several times to provide reassurance. The tech was extremely friendly. He was prompt to clean any mess he created in the process and was willing to educate me and answered all my uninformed questions with a smile. This will be the heating service company for me, for a long while. more

We have used American Vintage Home for years. They put in two spacepak systems for us so you would think they would give good service. The Space Pak didn't work so we called them to come look at it. We were quoted $59 for an estimate. Our technician called at 4:45 pm and said he was on his way. An hour later he called and said he would be there in a few minutes. As a result we missed a church appreciation dinner. Rather than looking to see if the freon was low, he looked at the electrical system for 15-20 minutes. Finally he looked at the freon and found it was low. He wrote up an estimate for us which he shared with our warranty company who said this was the highest amount they had ever seen for freon. Then he told us that since he spent more time than anticipated he was charging us $243 for the service call. We were shocked. He said we could apply it toward the repair but didn't write it on the invoice and wrote it all under parts when no parts were involved. We called the office and were told we had to speak with the operations manager who was on the phone. I left him a long message saying we really should have only been charged the $59 for getting an estimate. It has now been 10 days and I have not even had the courtesy of getting a call back from them. After years and several thousand dollars worth of business. That is the last business they will get from me and I will dispute the credit card charge. This was outrageous and the worst service ever. more

Bob came to my home yesterday to review the status of our air conditioning system, perform routine maintenance, and make suggestions for system upkeep and repair. He was courteous and professional, performed his work quickly, and provided a thorough review of the status of the system that is consistent with our home experience as well as a reasonable set of recommendations for how to keep our aging system functioning well. Joe helped us through a complicated, lengthy, and frustrating experience we had with a tankless water heater that someone else installed. We had to deal with an inept manufacturer and Joe stayed on them from start to finish to make sure that our hot water was restored and the machine itself would be replaced free of charge. Robert L serviced my A/C unit yesterday, and asked me to submit a review. I told him that I know nothing about the proper servicing of an A/C unit, so that I could not comment on his expertise in a review, but that I could say he was a very nice guy! He also provided me with a detailed report of the problems that he discovered, such as a broken UV lamp in our air treatment unit, and electrical wiring that was not up to code, and estimates of what it would cost to fix the problems. I am a Silver Service member with American Vintage, but the service I get is more like bronze. As a Silver Service member, I am supposed to be contacted in the fall and spring to schedule furnace or A/C maintenance appointments, but I always have to call them. I wanted to have my A/C unit serviced at the beginning of the summer, but couldn't get an appointment until July 2. I am consistently told that I cannot schedule an appointment within a reasonable time frame because American Vintage is dealing with emergencies. They sure have a lot of emergencies! Yesterday, I was supposed to be the first call of the day for the technician, but I was not. I think perhaps the company needs more technicians. Hence, four stars instead of five. Of course, I've also benefitted from the priority given to emergencies. Last winter, a technician was sent out on a Sunday night when our furnace stopped working. He was super nice, and did a fantastic job. more

Great company, been kept cool during the summers by them for 15 years now. They did the original install in my 1923 home and now do the routine maintenance as well. Bob M. is professional, extremely thorough, and does a great job. I would highly recommend both the company and the technicians. more

Andrew came yesterday on an emergency call for my AC. He was polite , diagnosed the problem immediately, and repaired it without question. He exemplified the underlying principles of American Vintage and is a credit to their business. We have used this business form many yeas, and have always had personable and professional people service our heating and ac needs. more

I am always so pleased to have Bob from American Vintage show up to our door when we have an issue with our A/C. He is extremely courteous and has always been persistent in figuring out the problem and the fix. I trust his judgment and even our dog, who is not trusting of most people who come into our home, likes him. more
