To Many Kids, people just drop them off and the park does nothing to enforce the rules about the miners in the Park. the best time to go is before School is out and after School is back in. My friends and I spend money, Lots of money but we don't come to watch other peoples kids. I under stand they need some where to go. and I have Children, But would never leave them at a park. Luv the Rides, Slides, Lazy river. more

Wet adventures 8/27/2005

This is another cool place to stop by on a Florida vacation. I wouldnt say it is the best destination though. Its just another water park with slides and pools and waves. Its nice in really hot wheather, but then again EVERYONE goes there during that time. The crowds can just get unbearable and the lines take forever. You can get wet here even if you are not a thrill seeker, there are different buckets that drop water on you and pools. There are two play areas just for kids. Can get kind of expensive though if you are on vacation like I was and dont need the season pass. more

Need to cool down a bit! 8/20/2005

Again been a member for a long time. I love this park, but sometimes it is too crowded, The perfect place to be here when the temperature is above 90 degrees high. Lots and lots of things to do. Love the big bucket filled with water and when it gets full of water it goes down like a cascade. The noise is unforgettable. The only problem is that when it starts to rain and thunder comes here, hit the road jack and don’t come here no more. Dangerous. more

Relax in the Rambling Bayou! 8/11/2005

Cool off from the heat at Adventure Island a fun water park with many different attractions for all ages. They have some great slides for thrill seekers and if you a less adventurous, you can chill out on the Rambling Bayou. They have (2) excellent play areas for children; Splash Attack & Fabian's Funport. Fabian's Funport is great for toddlers and children who are not very good with water yet. They have a miniature wave pool ( I have never seen the waves turned on), and a water playground of fun. Splash Attack is for those who are graduating Fabian's Funport and want a little more adventure. This is a that has 3 open water slides and 1 enclosed water slide. It has a huge 1,000 gallon bucket that dumps down on the tree house every 7 minutes. Kids love this area of the park. They can play for hours. They have lockers available to rent. They have the Caribbean Coin which is a bracelet you were and can pay for food. You have to try and guess how much you will spend and they take it from your credit card. If you do not spend it all, they refund the remaining money to the card. Season tickets, fun cards, and daily admission prices vary. They have Florida Resident discounts. And for the 2005 year, they are allowing coolers. They have given letters when you pay for parking that starting next year they will not allow coolers in the park. (We have heard this for the past 2 years, but I am sure they are going to implement it soon) Food can be expensive. You can always leave the park and come back for lunch. They have a Wendy's, McDonald's, and a KFC 2 blocks from the park. If you are a season pass holder it is very cheap to come here on a weekly or even daily basis. During the summer break a bunch of us usually bring the kids 3-4 days a week. more

Do you like fast slides 8/5/2005

Adventure Island is located adjacent to Busch Gardens. Check their website before going to see if there are any coupons or specials offered since daily ticket prices (approximately $35) can be high. Adventure Island is a good mixture of relaxing rides, white sandy beach areas for tanning, high-speed rides for the thrill takers, and two separate play areas for kids (one toddlers and one adolescent). Lockers are available and you can also bring your own food into the park (food prices there are rather expensive and not the best quality). more
