IT'S VERY EASY TO GET INTO CLUB AD IF YOU GO THERE ON FRIDAYS WHEN IT'S ASIAN NIGHT EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT WHEN MOVEMENT EVENTS IS THROWING AN EVENT THERE.PROS:GOOD FREE PARKING ON THE STREETS IF YOU GET THERE EARLY, IT'S BETTER WHEN IT'S ASIAN NIGHT AT CLUB AD. i went for a friend's b-day celebration, and we had a good time. there was only a little bit of waiting but nothing too excessive (maybe 20 minutes). hip hop was being spun on the main dance floor, and there was techno/trance on the 2nd floor. things seemed busier in the main room. joey fatone (i think that's his name) from n'sync showed up too. overall, decent place and good value, but it could have been cleaner for all the hype. more

We were wanting to go for my friend's 26th birthday. After calling the listed phone number about 10 times over a period of three days, they finally called back. They wanted $200 a bottle with a minimum two bottles a table. The $200 a bottle was no problem and we usually order two bottles. But for the service that we were getting from the beginning, we decided to go to Hollywood Canteen instead. more

YO YO it's Mike and Noelle here dishin' on AD, which we wanna call Absolutley Divine! Definatley go here on Saturday when BoltHouse promotes, otherwise you'll encounter the DEEP freak crowd. The space is huge with tons of bars giving you the chance to sit, stand, people watch or dance. There's always something going on and BoltHouse brings out the best crowds. Again, with BoltHouse you better be in the know like Mike and Noelle to get in otherwise long lines await you. Pros: BIG!, Hot people (on SAT) Cons: Offnights suck, PARKING!!!!!!!!!! more

I recently went to Ritual at AD, had no problems getting in. Helps if your good friend works there and another is the manager. Kinda packed for afterhours, sexy gogo's but don't dance too well. Smaller than I imagined. Smoking patio's in VIP but friendly security guy let us up anyway. Expensive cover if you have to pay (we didn't-cool!) $35 on average. Maybe go back, but not sure even if we get in for free again. Disagree with AD mean anti diverse, lots of asians. Pros: friendly crowd, friendly staff, sexy gogos Cons: kinda small, expensive drinks, shady street parking more

This club is propagating everything that's irritating and wrong with the LA nightlife scene by forbidding line-waiters to enter even after long waits and empty promises of pre-arranged guestlists just so the door looks busy/popular to unsuspecting rubes cruising down Highland. Also curious to know if "A.D." stands for anti-diversity, since it occurred to many people waiting outside that the only people granted walk-up entry were white. Questionable. more

The line and guest list mean nothing. Arriving early, you will wait in a line that will not move, except for when people leave the line out of anger. Unless you are blonde or know the promoter, they will not even look at you. They'll make you sign a sheet saying you can't get in unless you sign it, give you a paper "membership" card, and let you and the other "members" stand outside. Don't bother with this place. more

The door/"guestlist" policy here sucks. Bouncers were rude when asked about cover. Waited around for over 30min at the beginning of Friday night while the line didn't move (regardless of whether you'd called to put yourself on the list beforehand) but the clipboard monkeys went through and hand-picked people to let in, until someone noticed that everyone still in line outside were minorities. Seemed like shady business, don't waste time in line to contribute to silly exclusive "too L.A." glamour pretense. Cons: crappy line more

A.D. is by far one of the best clubs currently running in Los Angeles. Despite the long wait to get in, you won't be disappointed by the electric atmosphere and seemingly endless dancefloor. Drinks are a bit pricey but they are worth it. Always a great crowd, lots of fun! Pros: great dancing, excellent atmosphere Cons: horrible parking, long lines, pricey drinks more

We stood in line for one and a half hours and we never saw anyone from either of the lines admitted. The only people who got in (off the street) were people who had an "in" with the bouncers (about 20 got in, in the whole time we were there) and the lines only got shorter when people got frustrated and left. I've lived in SF, LA, and NYC and I've never had such a ridiculous waste of a night. A.D. needs to get over itself before they have to close down because I'm one of many who will never go there again! There are so many great LA clubs to go to where you'll probably have more fun anyway. Go there instead! Pros: parking ok Cons: will never get in more

I checked AD out a few Fridays ago and was thoroughly disappointed. Club Cherry is no longer playing there, the crowd was less than stellar (sorry, NOT a good-looking group at all), the line was insane considering the kind of crowd, and the drinks were outrageously pricey. The only pro was the upstairs dj spinning good danceable 80's tunes. Maybe I just went on a bad night? Pros: good parking Cons: long line, expensive drinks, NOT a good crowd more

This place is the coolest club. First off, Fridays, they have an 80's and 90's flashback which is cool. Second, the music isn't so loud you can't talk. It's just perfect. And there are plenty of places to go and chat. The decor is beautiful and goth-like, the crowd is varied. The best part about club cherry is that anything goes. You see old people, young people, gay people, straight people - everybody! Finally, a club that we all can go to!! If you're tired of the boring meat markets and horrible music of straight clubs, and the obnoxiously loud, over the top gay celine dion remixes of the gay clubs, come to Cherry. more
