ARS / Rescue Rooter Columbus

I'm writing this on a Sunday morning before 10 AM, since a rather rude person from ARS chose to call me at 9:00 AM on this day. I don't have any problems with the service, per se (I think the plumber could have done things faster if he was more experienced, but I'm ok with the service as a whole), but the way they handled their communication with me was horrible." The plumber charged me $500 for services, which I agreed to, however, when he left yesterday (Saturday), he said that his tablet wasn't allowing him to put in a custom price. Fine, no problem, "just invoice me the correct amount and I'll pay it." Should be easy-peasy. An ill-tempered woman called me this morning and told me that if I didn't pay the $500, they would put a lien on my home TOMORROW (Monday). Hunh? I still don't have an invoice! I told her that I needed one so that I knew exactly what I was paying for. Her answer was that she would send an invoice AFTER I paid. That would be a receipt, not an invoice. Either way, she demanded that I pay her that moment, which I refused to do since I wasn't in a position to get to a credit card at that time, and, for heaven's sake, I still didn't have an invoice and it's only the day after service. I'm not sure who this company is used to dealing with, but even the lawnmower kid here sends me an invoice, which I pay well within the 30-day period that is customary for these types of services. I don't need to be called on a Sunday morning and threatened with a lien for the following day. I was actually thinking of writing at least a three or four-star review based on the services, but ARS has successfully screwed that up with their crappy after service. Lien on my house on Monday? Bad (but honest) review for you on Sunday and, of course, a lost customer forever... more

This is not a serious business. Do not trust this company. I scheduled an appointment for 2/20/2018. The rep stated that a tech will be at my home after 1pm. At 11 am jody called stating that the company has customers with serious plumbing issues and that my appointment must be reschedule for later at around 5 pm. I called ARS 10 mins before 5 pm and Jody stated in a condescending tone that other customers have serious back up issues and that she will send a plumber later in the evening. She called at 5:46pm and left a message. I called ARS at 6pm and Jody stated that she sent the plumber to a different location because I did not answer the phone. Jody is a joke. Also, this company lost a lot of business. more

On Saturday January 30 I called Ed Oberting and informed him of our situation with our car wash at Ricart Automotive. He responded immediately and took care of our problem and got our car wash back up and running within an hour. This is a big deal for our customers who look forward to getting their cars washed at Ricart. So thanks to Ed for his prompt service and professionalism. more

Im very mad this company lied about price the man that answered the phone was very rude. The technician did not know what he was doing this company did not perform work and their prices are more expensive then others they are not professinal from answering the call to the finish product more

Although the service call from Rescue Rooter for drain cleaning and leaking turned into something much larger in scope than I anticipated, nothing that Rob did was unnecessary nor, to be honest, unexpected. I was just hoping to delay the inevitable. Rob was extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous. And fast! For all the work he had to do, I expected it would take him about seven hours to complete everything; it took him a bit over four. I am very impressed with Rob Cook, as well as Rescue Rooter. In the future, if plumbing is required by me, I will call Rescue Rooter and request Rob to be my Service Professional. David Kachonik more

I will never stop dreading the prospect of "being taken" by service people who at minimum inflate what really needs to be done. What a refreshing experience to counter that dread in having dealt with John L. of ARS Rescue Rooter. He quickly diagnosed the problem, quickly fixed it, quickly cleaned up everything as he found it, and all with a friendly, professional demeanor. Finally, he made a point of giving me his contact info should I encounter anything amiss after he left (which I have not). Thank you ARS and John L. If only all service scenarios would be like this. Needless to say, I heartily recommend them! more

John did a great job from start to finish. We placed a call to AHS and John (from ARS) was assigned the job. Even though it was late in the evening, John stopped by instead of waiting until morning. He inspected the water heater and saw it needed replacement. He called AHS and got approval for installment of a new one for the following day. He kept us informed of his schedule for the installation. He arrived as promised and installed the new one and removed the old one in a short time. John was courteous, knowledgable, personable, and did a great job of cleaning up after the installation. more
