It's the most wonderful ..... 12/17/2008

Customer Service Training Needed 11/20/2008

I was overwhelmed by the selection of culinary items available (A+). The restaurant was wonderful (A+). The waitress was attentive (A+). With the exception of this waitress, the store’s cashier (A+) and two Le Creuset representatives (A+) who were in the store, my impression was that the sales staff (C-) were too busy stocking shelves to offer much assistance. They were not, as a whole, particularly friendly. Sorry “A Southern Season”, some customer service training is in order. more

tons of choices 4/6/2006

If you plan on going to A Southern Season, you had better plan on staying for quite a while. There are so many different food choices (and free samples!) to look at, it's hard to tear yourself away or to make a decision. They also have a great wine selection and wonderful baked goods. My favorite thing about it is the candy and chocolate selection. They have a lot of chocolate bars from all over the world. And they even have Kinder eggs! more

a huge store 3/28/2006

A Southern Season has the biggest selection of gourmet food that I've found in the Triangle. Sometimes, it feels almost too overwhelming to have that much choice (it can be hard to find things on your own). They have a big selection of deli stuff (cheeses, meats), as well as prepared foods (everything looks really delicious). They also carry a lot of cooking tools, pots, pans, and so on, as well as some china and serving dishes. more

Fresh Organic Fare 1/28/2006

A Southern Season has a grocery store and cafe for the gourmet in you. They make baked goods from scratch with full fat and full flavor to please your palate. From imported jams and jellies, to all-natural dog biscuits, their market is sure to please. Don't leave without browsing the wine selection. more

gourmet food shopping 8/18/2005

A Southern Season is a fun place to browse. There are lots of gourmet foods to peruse, plus a new restaurant which is excellent. The cheese selection is great, as is the wine and chocolate. If you like looking at new and interesting foods like I do, you'll enjoy this place. Many locals do a lot of shopping there - it's prices keep this one an occasional treat for me. more

A Southern Season is Great! 8/15/2005

Anytime I need a last minute gift, or something special to serve when I have guests, I rush out to A Southern Season. They have all kinds of specialty foods there as well as kitchenware, cards, fresh flowers, and lovely gifts such as scented lotions, soaps, etc. Especially impressive are their wine and coffee sections. There are MANY of each, but don't be intimidated--the staff is completely knowledgeable and always friendly--they've helped me pick the perfect wine for many special occasions and I've also trusted them to pick the coffee I gave as a gift to several picky relatives. Don't miss their annual inventory clearance sale, either--everything in the store is deeply discounted. I take this opportunity to stock up on gifts and treats I couldn't normally afford! more

Gourmet Cooks BEWARE!!! 8/14/2005

It is easy to get lost in A Southern Season looking at the endless aisles of gourmet foods and treats. I really enjoyed walking up and down the aisles and was inspired to pull out all of my cooking utensils when I got home. There is a seperate coffee section as well as wine, and there are plenty of prepared foods for anyone who doesn't want to tackle cooking on their own. This is a one of a kind store and I highly recommend stopping in- when you have plenty of time to spend! more
