All the beers on tap are some of my personal favorites, and they are all priced right. All of the staff is attractive and friendly, and the crowd is usually very chill.\r \r Don't try to go on the weekend after about 9:30-10pm unless you enjoy standing in the walkway of the bar and have to move every second for someone to squeeze by and spill a drink on you. I don't wanna hate, but a seat is pretty crucial due to the layout and snagging them early is the key.... Pros: beer selection and prices Cons: can get packed on weekends more

I actually use to like the 4100 bar until the manager decided to be rude to me just because i did not tip one night. I was there with my friends trying to have a good time, pay for my drinks and be on with my day. Just because i decided not to tip him he started this whole drama and demanded i tip him. Last time i check ,tipping is not to be force upon. The reason why i did not tip was because i knew my bank account was going to be overdraw and i only have enough to pay for the drink. seriously i do not go to bars to start problems with anybody and nor start drama with the management. he was shouting at me and telling me "" if i was not going to tip that i should of stay home"" i was amazed how this fool of a manager got so upset about his tip. As a manager shouldn't he show at least some class of respect for himself and stop begging for a few dollars. Once again i am a guy who does not expect nothing really in any business or customer service business ..all i expect is respect from the management and the people who work there. They are rude and if u dont tip well expect to insulted by inconsiderate fool think that people can always tip. 4100 used to be fun, but those days are long gone. Eastside bars are known for being fun and cool, very un-Hollywood. My friends and I went to 4100 Friday night an dealt with a**holes all night. The bartender was rude (not the cute glasses guy), and the busboy was even ruder. If you're looking for a lame crowd and a staff that gives you attitude then 4100 is your bar. Have fun. This place was sweaty, crowded, and full of obnoxious people. You have to fight your way to the bar, past disgusting grab-handy frat-boy types and when you're finally served you have to fight your way back to a semi-open space against the wall. The music is earsplitting - don't bother trying to have a conversation, not that you'd want to talk to any of the arrogant jerks crowding the place anyway. Something awful has happened to the 4100. True, I haven't been to the 4100 Bar for a while, but used to go alot. The last time I was there (it was a Sunday, I think), it was busy, people were happy, drinking, singing and holding candles in the air! The bartender (Lori) was awesome, working the whole bar and having fun at the same time. Went in recently and I must say, things have changed dramatically...not for the better! Service was slow, the music was ear-splitting, and the scene was just that...a scene. Won't be frequenting this bar anymore; there are much better places in Silverlake to go! This place is good for taking someone you want to make out with- they have couches in the back that are very poorly lit. Other than that - the music is so loud, you're yelling the whole time. Cool atmosphere though. more

i'm not sure what happened to this place but, over the last couple of months, the cool locals who used to frequent this bar have been over-taken by wanna-be's and frat boy types. the bartenders are great - if you can ever get to them (you'll have to try and squeeze past the drunk fools that crowd the bar). note to the wise: saturdays are the absolute worst. time to find a new hangout - it's a damn shame. more

The 4100 was a hidden treasure only known to the select few who contributed to the spirit of the ""Best Bar Ever!"" I still go there, but lately has been disapointing. If you arrive after 10 on a Saturday night, you'll have to circle around forever for parking and wait in line right next to the smokers. You'll push and shove your way through to the bar and anxiously wait for a refreshing beverage to realize it is last call and your night is over. Sure this is America and everyone has their rights, but at the 4100 it's a Barocracy! So please all abnoxious people who get drunk off of one Midiori Sour, think it's cool to give high fives to complete strangers and don't apologize after you've spilled your drink all over someone your trying to squeeze by....just don't even think about showing up. more

seating was hard to find because it was relatively crowded. as i left around 11pm there was a line outside. the crowd seems somewhat hollywood... as if everyone on the westside moved over to the eastside. service was great... bouncers up front were kind. only thing that bothered me a tad was that it was a little warm inside. all n all a pretty sweet bar. 4100 is one of my favorite bars in Silver Lake. Drinks are well priced for what you get and how stiff they're mixed. Street parking isn't a problem. And, the red interiors are just so cool and sexy. It gets packed Friday and Saturday nights but it's fun add to the crowd by being with a group of your friends. During the weeknights, it's relatively slow making it a great place to take your date to after dinner for some quiet conversation. The only drawback I ever find with this place is that on busy nights the 1 bathroom stall for the ladies is retarded. Pros: great interior more

The place is great looking. The drinks are well served, and the prices are a little lower than other places. One thing I have to say that I got there at around 12:30a on Saturday night, and it was somewhat empty; not crowded like most people say...? Maybe it's not a Saturday night thing there?
