Crown Point offers one of the most majestic and widely photographed views of the Columbia River Gorge. The visitor’s center there has been under construction and I am not aware if it has reopened, but that is not the reason to go. Take a trip purely for the view. Find a clear cool beautiful day in the fall when the leaves have started to change. For me, that is when I always make the windy trip up into the gorge toward Crown Point. Park and get out of the car, breathe the fresh air and absorb the incredible sight before you. I could stand there for hours.
