I recently headed to New Haven to go to the Shubert. I discovered through the Shubert website that if you dine at Hot Tomato's on a Tuesday night AND have theatre tickets for the Shubert (which is right next door) then Hot Tomato's will give you 20% off of your dinner bill.
So we decided to go. The restaurant is located in the old TAFT building right next door to the Shubert Theatre - great location. The inner decor is stunning - beautiful architecture is a site to be seem. We were seated on the second floor which overlooks the lower dining room. The menu is vast with all different types of foods to satisfy any appetite. The prices are high - but worth it because a trip to Hot Tomato's is an experience, not just a meal. I would say on average a entree runs about $20.
The have a fabulous selection of drinks and wine. We were seated quickly and served promptly, but never made to feel rushed, we enjoyed ourselves. Next time I am in New Haven I will go back. It was quite fun and the food was superb.
