I had the opportunity recently to dine again at Tavola Rossa. If it were a bar only it would certainly be ""Cheers"". The food was excellent as was the service. Russ, the manager is the epitome of the polished manager. He is impeccably well-mannered and made us feel immediately welcome. Each time we visit we are greated by name and treated as royalty by the whole staff. Even the chef, Nick ,drops by for a visit. Though called an Italian restaurant , the fare is varied and the menu is always evolving. As a wonderful bonus we found a jazz guitar duo of extraordinary talent. Tavola Rossa is an absolute gem for Raleigh. No way to miss with great food, great service and great jazz
Pros: food great, service impeccable, excellent jazz in the bar
Cons: the owner should not mingle, leave that to the manager and staff
