Great 7/15/2003

What's not to like? Webster Hall feels like a cozy club within a larger club. The staff is friendly (minus the self-important door guys whose moods can swing either way), the drinks don't cost more than you should be used to paying at clubs, and the music is great. The hip hop room should be bigger though-- wider, at least (it feels like you're dancing in a narrow hallway with 150 of your "closest" friends). more

best large club I've found... 6/7/2003

Out of all the mega clubs I've been to, this one would get my vote as the best mega club. We went here a couple of months ago, and I have tried out all the others. Expect: long line, pricey, rude body search, crowded, multiple leveled club with various music. Pros: music, large dance club, atmosphere Cons: line, service, price more

Webster Hall: just not worth paying 4 2/15/2003

I went in Webster Hall for their New Year's Eve party ... i had to pay $ 30 to enter and the minute i got in it felt like i had been robbed. Huge spaces, not trendy at all. Pathetic frequenters, an empty non-inviting bar. The Music was good though. Other than that it was awful. Pros: music more

The hot spot to be... 1/22/2003

I had the best time at webster hall I've had in a long time. I was at the hip hop release party last sunday, and the place was bumping! The hip hop scene is exploding at the club, and there is a new release promised for feb. 11th- the basement tapes. This is going to be a great hip hop cd if it is anything like the party they threw. I also have enjoyed webster hall's trance scene, and I think their trance music is great. Check out tranzworld 6, a new release I just bought from W. Hall Records. Do we have to go home yet?? 1/11/2003

I have been going to Webster Hall for a about ten years, and I have never left before closing time! The music pumps and you can not leave the dance floor...whichever one you're on! A former resiedent of long Island, I would make the trip to NYC about once a month to get my groove on. Now living in the dirrrrty South (Florida), I find myself really missing the Hall. Pros: variety of music, atmosphere, great crowd Cons: prices, line around the block more

The ultimate New York experience! 1/3/2003

Webster Hall is a great place to go for several reasons:the music is ALWAYS good or at least it has been when I've been here. Also the place is HUJE and there really is something for everyone. I didn't like the hiphop room very much but aside from that I've always had a positive experience here. The dress is strange-the ladies seem to get decked out but the men here seem to be more cashual. There are alot of out of towners here but that's to be expected at most clubs in the city. Webster Hall is the place to be on a Friday and Saturday night especially in the hip hop room in the basement it is off the hook. This is a very upscale place to come out and get your dance on. more

I didnt like webster hall. the qualityof the crowd was not good and it was dark and dingy and too expensive for any source of entertainment. their dancers were not that amusing either. Pros: variety of music Cons: expensive, dingy, bad crowd more

Fun, Diverse & Spacious 11/13/2002

Great atmosphere, people are friendly, Huge place, There's room for everyone to dance (well except the hip hop room to crowded). Thursday nights is ladies night which is fabulous (very hot stripper on top of the bar naked) and when you enter the place they give the girls screws and the guys bolts, so if you see a hottie with a bolt you can screw it on and get free drinks (literally).. all kinds of music for different people. Pros: huge club, very friendly, dance floor Cons: entrance is $30, hiphop room is crowed, huge lines more

The best place in NYC to go dancing 11/5/2002

i think this is the best place to have fun on a crazy weekend. I have been there around 6 times and everytime i go i have a blast. Little nice bar to have a conversation, variety of the crowd. Always a good time! 9/22/2002

Been going here for the longest and every time I go, I always have a good time. The only problems I do have with the place are the people at the door (can be discourteous and unreasonable) and the location of the rest rooms (the only ones are on the lower level). Other than that, you just can't go wrong with four floors, five rooms for dancing, ample lounge space to just hang out, and the diverse crowd. Hot Spot! 8/28/2002

I don't know how it is I've never been to this spot before but I had never been before this past thursday. I shoulda been hittin up this spot for a while now. Multiple rooms, hip-hop, house, 80's, latino, & even a little chill bar area where u can actually have conversation. Thurs are ladies night which means all da ladies in for free, and friday get there before 12 and everyone is free even the fellas. Only down note, drinks are expensive, and its hot as hell. Totally Slamming 8/12/2002

I've been going to Webster Hall for about 10 years now. First of all not many clubs last 10 years in NYC let alone change with the times. The music is slamming, the women come in all flavors as does the music. 4 floors about 7 bars, free entrance, free drinks, about 4 clubs in one what more could you ask for. HIT THIS CLUB!!! more

the good and the bad 8/11/2002

Everytime I have gone to webster hall I have gone with a great group of friends. They are great and they are very diverse that is what makes webster hall a great club. It's diversity is unsurpassed from with rooms to play pool, dance house (really good on Friday nights), spanish, hip hop, and eighties. What more can you ask for in a club. You are bound to find something for someone there. Now the negatives, the hip hop room is ridiculously hot, and the lines could be pretty long to get in. Too much to describe! 8/8/2002

What an overwhelming place! It's great. I went with a bunch of my girlfriends and we had the time of our lives. It was like bar hopping.. all in one place! They had every kind of music we wanted... hip hop, cheezy dance songs, house/techno and even latin music. the people were great... everyone was friendly. I can't wait to make it back there again!!! I decided to check the place out last night. Definitely not worth your time. It has to be one of the worst dance clubs in the city. And for a $20 cover charge, you'd be better off spending it at the trendier clubs in Union Square. more

I subscribed to Webster Hall's mailing list and they send you a link to get in for FREE. They also serve FREE drinks with that same printout. I go there whenever I get the chance cause they have awesome electronic music and a really nice atmosphere.
