Great new years eve!! adriano rizofski@hotmail . com Pros: beautiful people Cons: none

Worst

Many arrive from New Jersey, or Westchester or even Connecticut to dance the forbidden dance of the Cha Cha Slide. Mickey Avalon blares from the speakers as you swig your vodka to...

Thank you Webster Hall! 11/20/2006

Thanks for keeping the SHOW business in nightlife, and not just giving me a lame room with tables, lounge chairs, and bottles. I don't go to a club to sit down and sip champagne. I go to dance and be entertained! Pros: $70 drink all night!!! Nightclub theatre Cons: long lines more

A carnal experience it could be said... 11/20/2006

Webster Hall was NOTHING like the lounges and clubs my friends always take me to. But I mean that in a good way. Webster gave me and my friends a run for our money! The dancers were hot, the drinks were pretty strong, the dance floor was HUGE, and there were plenty of hotties running all over the club. I wouldn't go here every weekend, but it was a crazy carnal experience which ended with amateur strip tease at 3 in the morning. I'll be back for another crazy night somewhere down the line... more

This club is not for every weekend! (in a good way) 11/20/2006

Webster was not your average lounge with lame music. The main room was pretty full, DJ Ray Roc was awesome, and I have seen some crazy amateur stripping going on late night. There is so much happening, it was almost too much. Other than my friend getting to f*cked up and having to leave earlier than I wanted, it was awesome! Pros: HUGE dance floor, Hot dancers Cons: expensive drinks more

Terrible experience for shows... 11/13/2006

I've been to four shows at W.H. now, and the experience has always been frustrating. I will say that the sound for last night's Joanna Newsom show was basically perfect, and I do sort of enjoy the decor in the main ballroom in an odd kitschy way, but do the freaking bouncers have to treat everyone like they're seven years old all the time?!? I know that W.H. is primarily a cheesy nightclub and that the Bowery shows are a second line deal, but the staff should REALLY work on chilling out and not taking themselves so seriously. Just getting into the club is an ordeal made worse by these guys shouting orders at you every three seconds. But the yelling doesn't end there - once you exit the club, they're all standing out there shouting even more. I understand that part of their job is taking care of people's safety, and the staff isn't unfriendly, but, for everyone's sake, please calm down. No one is going to get hurt by exiting the door toward the right instead of the left. BOWERY NEEDS TO STOP PUTTING SHOWS ON AT WEBSTER HALL! P.S. - Lose the roving beer guy on the floor, too. Probably great to have him there for dancing, but not so good plowing through a tightly packed mass of hipsters. Pros: sound is good part of the time Cons: stop the yelling already! we understand! more

DANCING, MUSIC, and FUN!! 11/2/2006

Webster is the night club choice of a wide range of people. The drinks are usually a little strong, and so are the come on's. :) The club offers all kinds of music to satisfy even the pickiest of music critics. There are tons of people and you will meet someone..guaranteed! The Thursday night male review is great and the host is hilarious. i love this place and I go there every time i get the chance!!! Pros: clean bathrooms, great people, variety of music Cons: sometimes you wait to get in.... so go VIP, other than that just strong drinks more

Bouncers are Rude & It's soo Over Priced!!! 11/1/2006

I went to the HALLOWEEN EVENT of 2006 and the female bouncer took my Angel wings because she felt they were dangerous and told me to retrieve them upon my departure of The WEBSTER HALL NightClub! And that's what i did. When I ask for my wings back they so happen to can't find it! The so call manager comes from outside, who looks like a male bouncer from outside in the front, comes up to me and just says sorry it's nothing he can do. I've wrote a complaint and is still waiting for a respond!. The female bouncer is short with braids, skinny yet butch like. That's a warning. And also if u wanna go outside for some fresh air or a cig, you gotta spend $5. Drinks are horrible! And one of my bottons on my jacket was gone when i got it back from coat check! I know i aint going back! And I hope you do the same! Cons: Over Priced, Bad Service, Stealers more

this place is huge! 10/30/2006

they have 3 floors for dancing...you can spend a whole night here and not get bored. madonna has even played here.....the place is fun and big! Pros: expensive cover charge keeps losers away Cons: waiting on long lines more

Webster Hall is the WORST Venue Ever 4/24/2006

I've been to a lot of venues in New York, and Webster Hall always not only disapoints me, but makes me angry. After the Wolf Parade show, I vowed to NEVER see a band perform there again. The sound technicians, or the sound system itself, always manage to make the band sound terrible. The bass is way too loud and not only drowns out the vocals, but gives the avid fan a headache and even chest pain. It's just too loud! Webster Hall obviously does not care about quality when presenting a show, and therefore manages to ruin every band's set that I have seen there. I'm sure the blasting bass is great for dance parties, but not when you're actually trying to hear a band in its entirety. If you're in it for the band, stay the hell out of Webster Hall. more

Yeaaaaaa PA! 2/16/2006

I love Webster Hall. I really do, now don't get me wrong I am not sayin that the lines aren't long or that the drinks prices are a LIL too high or even that the hip-hop room (which I love) isn't kickin like Bruce Lee. But you gotta love a club that has hip hop, techno, eighties and Latin alllllllll under one roof. I love the bouncers, my boy the Marine is the best and ALWAYS shows a girl from PA love (Even if it means hustlin me in so I can use the bathroom!) I see a lot of the ladies that wrote that the fellas were too agressive but come on now, it is NYC, what do you expect?!?!?! Webster Hall will always get my love and my business Pros: Cool bouncers, Hot Music, Sexy Men Cons: A lil funky, Gettin searched, tooooo many haters more

Best chance for romance! 1/5/2006

I went with a bunch of 30-something girlfriends for the Playgirl Revue (male strippers)at 8pm and stayed on until closing time! [We have seen the Savage Men male revue at Lucky Cheng's and another at 2i's and this was the best by far! The room was packed and the all-girl appreciative roars were actually deafening!!] Later, we had a surprisingly great time dancing every dance under the great big glamourous disco ball, watching shennanigans onstage and partying in the overlooking VIP balcony (for $250 bottle charge.) But best of all, we didn't really wind up dancing with each other, there were guys ALL OVER the place--almost a little hard to fend off at times!!! We actually kept in contact by phone with some for awhile but eventually dumped them all. Oh well--still the best dance night so far. Pros: dance tunes, male revue, tri-floors Cons: no elevators more

Missed Ball Drop for 2005!!!!!!!!!!!! 1/1/2006

I couldn't believe they had us standing in line for 2.45 hrs in the cold waiting to get into webster hall. We arrived prompty at 9:45 to wait inline for Webster Hall's New Years Bash. Some kind of bash that was. It was totally disorganized and we couldn't get in until 12:30am even though we had avdanced tickets. Once we got in the line for the coat check was crazy. They should lessen thier people capacity because the club clearly cannot hold that much people. The bar was crowded and we couldn't even get drinks. The only thing that was good about it was the music. But for all that hassle I am definitely not coming back for new year 2007. Pros: Music Cons: Crowded, Disorganized more

Had a Great Time Here!! 11/15/2005

Coming from somewhere where nightclubs are all the same, this was such a change for us. We went on a Thursday night, queued for 10 minutes. Doorstaff were really friendly and polite, very chatty (may have come from our Irish passports used for id!!) It was ladies night so we got in free and there was a male strip show on which was brilliant. Drinks are about the same price as here in Ireland which I was pleasantly surprised by. The music was great, with lots of different styles being played. The crowd was great for the most part, some of the guys were very pushy though. Only drawbacks are having to buy a re entry band ($5) to go out for a smoke and the toilets being down in the basement. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place. Will go back next time we're in New York! Pros: music, atmosphere, no cover charge!! Cons: quite stuffy, toilets in basement more

Hot Club 10/12/2005

I usually go there on Thursdays for ladies night which is so much fun for me and my friends when we've had a stressed out day. more

SOOO much fun 9/16/2005

I visited Webster Hall last week and had a great time. It was recommended by a hotel concierge in NYC. When my girl and I first got there I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. They were allowing everyone in who was dressed properly. The cover was $20 and the drinks were about $8-$10. The place is huge with different music in every room. It was very crowded but plenty of room to move around. It was also air conditioned which was good because it was a hot night. I loved the trapeze show and the singles auction which my girl and I bid on another girl and it was a lot of fun hanging out with her. Definately a place to bring your girl. No hassles and a friendly staff. The Music is awesome. Thank you Webster Hall Pros: music, shows, A/c Cons: closed at 4am more

For New Yorkers, BY New Yorkers 9/7/2005

My girlfriend and her friends are always bugging me to go back to Webster Hall. They go to dance house, trance, hip hop, reggaeton, whatever. I just go to watch the girls! more

Best night in NYC 9/7/2005

This was my first time at webster hall and I had a blast! I had never been to a club so big in my life. My only complaint is that the drinks were a little pricey. But in the end it was totally worth it. I don't mind paying to have a good time! Pros: good music, nice people, great party! Cons: expensive drinks more

The Hall has it all 8/31/2005

Again, another palce to go for 80's music if you don't have acess to a computer for free passes to other places. Go on Fridays and Saturdays, when it's FREE for girls and either FREE or REDUCED for guys BEFORE 11 PM!! Go early to secure a spot near the door! You may have to wait an hour for the main ballroom room to open. ((The second floor with the balcony.)) So stay in the "80's" room. There's amature strip tease on the second floor on Fridays. There's also a singles auction on Saturdays. Ladies, if you go on Thursdays there's a "triple xxx" male burlesque show, and it's free all night on Thursdays for girls only. Check out Shane Savant, he's hilarious!!! Pros: free/reduced admit, 80's music, good place 2 dance Cons: go early 2 avoid line, hr wait 4 2nd flr, no cute guys more

Not impressed 7/29/2005

I went to W.H thinking I would be in sophisticated nightclub ... what a bad assumption on my part! If you are a hip-hop/reggae fan, the night I went, the hip-hop room was small, cramped, and HOT. You could feel the steam coming from the hip-hop room as soon as you came downstairs. The guys were really aggressive- more aggressive than at any other club I've been to in NYC. I didn't pay to get in, but if I would have paid the $30 they were charging, I would have been very angry. One of the girls I went with hated it so much that she stayed for about 30 minutes, then went home by herself. It's a waste of time considering all of the other options you have in NYC nightlife. Pros: none Cons: too HOT, no A/C, Steam! more

AWFUL 3/31/2005

We were herded into the place by indifferent bouncers and then forcefully instructed to seperate into gender specific lines to be search by rude bouncers. Fortunately we were early enough to get in free and they had advertised a 10 to 12 open bar. The only open bar was all the way on the top floor where they served weak mixed drinks and cheap beer. Then ten mins. to 11 we were told that the open bar was over and that they had made mistake on their website. We were told to go back to the first floor to get a free drink coupon. We then got our free drinks, again not strong, and by the time we got back upstairs we noticed that they had re-opened the bar, but the bartender delibrately passed over us. Was one of the worst nights ever. Cons: cheesy crowd, expensive drinks more

WEBSTER HALL IS A WASTE OF A NIGHT 12/24/2003

I guess if you like euro trash or those guys who like to maul you, Webster Hall is the place to be. The place is class-less, overrun with NJ B&T kids with fake IDs and NYs shadiest guys. Definately not worth it if you have to pay cover. Pros: no cover sometimes Cons: shady people, expensive drinks, bad ventilation more
