I've been to a lot of venues in New York, and Webster Hall always not only disapoints me, but makes me angry. After the Wolf Parade show, I vowed to NEVER see a band perform there again. The sound technicians, or the sound system itself, always manage to make the band sound terrible. The bass is way too loud and not only drowns out the vocals, but gives the avid fan a headache and even chest pain. It's just too loud! Webster Hall obviously does not care about quality when presenting a show, and therefore manages to ruin every band's set that I have seen there. I'm sure the blasting bass is great for dance parties, but not when you're actually trying to hear a band in its entirety. If you're in it for the band, stay the hell out of Webster Hall.
