I've worked with many brokers in NYC and a broker from Caliber Associates was by far the best. The broker along with the office staff were friendly, responsive, knew the market extremely well, and worked hard to find me exactly what I wanted. I'm extremely picky and made their agent show me more than a dozen apartments. When I didn't see anything I really liked, the agent along with the head broker- made some phone calls and found me the perfect apartment in a high demand building and even managed to get me a great deal on the amenities (fully comped!). I would never have found the apartment if it wasn't for Caliber Associates. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Caliber and will not hesitate to work with them again. more

I have nothing but good experiences with this company. They fit my budget, showed me everything I was expecting and even hooked me up with some company to help me move my stuff. Over the years I have worked with many Manhattan realtors. As you know searching for apartments in NYC can be very frustrating but Caliber has made the entire process very quick and easy for me. My experience with Caliber Associates has been outstanding in all respects. Not only are their agents knowledgeable but they immediately understood my needs and did not waste my time with unrealistic possibilities. Within two meetings I got the perfect apartment I wanted for the price I asked for. The agents are personable and professional. Unethical company...relocated to NYC for job and found a co-op rental through Caliber President, Shai Gruber. Shai told me that the apartment owner was in Spain and I would be able to rent for 2 years...after 9 months of occupying the apartment I was notified by apartment owner that she was moving back and I would need to vacate the premises after only 1 year and that she had always planned on moving back after 1 year. Caliber had not disclosed this to me and had blatantly lied to me to get their commission. Do not trust Shai Gruber or Caliber...very dishonest company!!! more

I was really pleased working with Caliber Associated. My friend told me about them and I was very happy I listened to her. I had to move out of my old apartment and did not have much time to look for a new place. These guys sure know what they are doing. I was pretty flexible with the location but had particular budget. I got an amazing deal in Midtown West! they even helped me to find the right moving company. Caliber surely makes moving a nice experience! more

Could not be more of a scam. I found one of their listings on Padmapper - one of those "too good to be true" no fee deals, and obviously it was. After inquiring about it, I get an automated response from Jenevey saying that the listing was filled but she has "some others that may be of interest to me", all of which would obviously have a fee. I corresponded with this Jenevey chick about how frustrated I was with the whole apartment search and how I felt like I was on a wild goose chase with all of these scam listings, the whole 9 yards. A week later, I get the SAME auto-reply from "Jenevey" about the SAME listing on Padmapper (and yes, the "filled" listing is still active on the site")... needless to say, I flipped out. Be VERY cautious with dealing with these people. Almost all of the photos they use on their listings are of the same (stock) apartment, and they are very shady. Total, total scam. more

I relocated from California in February and Michael Siso guided me through the process very effortlessly. I spent around 3 month prior looking on craigslist.com and viewing real estate websites before going with 2 different companies. Fortunately Caliber NYC was first to answer my calls and emails and connected me with Michael early on. He found no less than 5 units that fit my criteria and budget. I was faxed all applications and everything was signed, sealed, delivered in under a week. Michael even took pictures of the unit for me since I could not be there to preview it myself. I would recommend Caliber for anyone relocating and obviously anyone in NYC. more

This real estate firm is a NIGHTMARE. They lie about their listings (particularly the location of the available apt), don't show up to appointments, are late when they do show up, and then try to make every excuse in the book when you call them out on all the reasons why you're unhappy. Luckily for me, I never even got viewed the apartment so, no dealing with trying to get my $500 "good faith" deposit back. But, when you list an apartment for $1,650 in a luxury high rise, with 24-hour doorman at 89th and 3rd Ave and then have me meet you in a building on 2nd Ave between 91st and 92 streets directly in front of the largest crane I've ever seen in my life due to the 2nd Ave construction line, I'd call that pretty shady realty and a blatent bait and switch ad. To make matters worse, after I called them out on it (getting into an arguement with the realtor's "boss" who showed up to show me the apt because she conveniently wouldn't make it in time) the "boss", Michael, told me that he called LaShara and told her she "wasn't allowed to do that anymore". And when I pressed further, even stating that I had been interested in some of her other listings but now, given this experience, didn't trust her listings, he stated that they were "probably all fake as well". These people are scum of the earth and liars. LaShara even had the nerve to email me afterwards stating that none of her listings were fake and she wanted to help me. HA! I would never give this company a dime of my money. Interestingly enough, when I checked her listings online again after I got home, the apartment listing was conveniently changed from "89th/3rd" to "2nd Ave UES". I checked again this morning, and it's back to "89th/3rd". There are plenty of other better realty companies out there. Don't waste your time with Caliber and their fake ads. more

Thanks to their service i found a perfect apartment. Coming from Atlanta with no idea, this company gave me a great help. Found a great apartment on midtown west and only had to pay for application. My broker Danny ask me for a testimonial and as i promised here it is. Thank you , thank you!! more

I'd like to thanks to Danny & Caliber Associates for the serviced provided in my search for my new home with no brokers fee. i had to put $500 for security deposit and was deducted from my 1st month rent. Efficient and a very clear process..! more

I worked with Miki and Karin from Caliber Associates one month ago and had a really great experience. The rental market in Manhattan is volatile and the process of finding an apt will always be stressful but they made the process much more manageable- plus they have alot of apts to show! They really looked out for what me and my apt mates wanted, was always available, very patient, and told us everything as it was through each stage of the application process. Just keep in mind that when you apply, you have to pay 500 dollars in cash up front (part of the first month rent) but is refundable only if your offer does not get accepted. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience. more

I was having a very tough time finding a studio in a nice area in Manhattan for my budget, until I contacted Danny at Caliber NYC. He spent just a few hours with me and showed me exactly the kind of apartments I would like. He has a great sense of exactly what one is looking for and so saved me a lot of time and effort. You've got to be kidding me. Who requires a $500 deposit that will not be refunded under any circumstances? I agree with the reviewer above...couple other lease offices I'v visited only require a $100 deposit and I don't know why I put down $500 with Caliber. Pisses me off. more

They are a scam! will never refund your $50 credit check or your $500. They will show you apts that are already leased but will sweet talk you into signing and will then be very pushy if you don't!!! STAY AWAY!!! more

Caliber requires $500 good faith deposits on their rentals at signing. Once you put this down there is no getting it back. There is no apparent cause or reason to this deposit but they will refuse to give it back under any circumstances. Not only that, their brokers are just awful at their jobs (late, unprofessional, apathetic, terrible negotiation skills; just despondent people as a whole). I was taken in by their wide selection of no-fee apartments but have left irate and cheated!!! more
