I went to Transcend salon to just get a blowout at a salon that looked professional and was close to my home. WHAT A MISTAKE.\r
\r
I found this place on Citysearch and requested the owner from what I had read in reviews here. My appointment started with him telling me he doesn't usually ""do blowdrys"" even though they had taken my appointment the day before.\r
\r
Then he sat me in his chair for 1 HOUR!!!!!!!!! gossiping to me about his so-called celebrity clients -about their personal lives and sexual escapades (although judging from his work, I doubt they are his clients).\r
\r
He proceeded to criticize my posture, tell me he knew everything about me from looking at me, and say that he would not do hair on someone that didn't agree with what HIS vision of what their hair should look like, and wouldn't let him do what HE thought was right. (Boy was I glad I didn't allow him to take scissors to my hair).\r
\r
At the end of the ordeal, he did a terrible blowout that he then had to go over with a flat iron - something I could have done myself at home, and then charged me $50 for the disaster, saying he was going to 'cut me a deal"" this one time.\r
\r
DON'T GO HERE. IT IS AWFUL!!
Cons: Terrible work, unprofessional, ridiculous prices, horrific decor
