Rude, condescending, and no bedside manner 6/13/2017

I made an appointment with Dr Titko about an issue with my toenail. I saw some of the bad reviews but, I decided to give her a chance since she was close to my house. I will never see this doctor again. She talked to me like I was a child and kept repeating "Do you understand??" in a condescending voice after telling me something. She told me she was blunt but this was not her being blunt, this was her just being plain rude. I've worked in the medical field for 17 years in various settings and also seen several specialists over the years and never encountered a physician who talked to their patients the way she talked to me. Trust this review when I say do NOT see this physician you will regret it. more

I went to Dr. Kristen Titko because she had worked with the Cincinnati Reds. Thought that I was getting a very reputable doctor. I had a small pain in the back of my heel NEAR the achilles. She said that it was my achilles tendon. I wasn't so sure. I had her to take 2 x-rays and an MRI to make sure. She didn't see anything that would change her opinion. She ended up doing surgery on my Achilles tendon, then decided to cut on the spot of pain that I had been complaining about. What do you know? There was a bone spur there!!! So now, I have to spend the rest of my life buying $300 unnecessary orthotic inserts every year to put in my shoes. Would not recommended her! more

Rude! 12/8/2014

Dont spend anytime with patients! At my job I have to walk over 6 miles a day and no longer can due to foot problem. Won't put you off work even though she knows the pain your in. Very rude and talks to you like your an idiot! Seems as though she doesn't care about you or your problems just the money! Save yourself the time and money and go to someone else! more

Go somewhere else. She does not offer service with a smile. 7/29/2013

I found Dr. Titko to be totally unfriendly, bordering on abrasive. She did not make me feel welcomed. In fact, the tone of her voice and some of her facial expressions were offensive, making for an uncomfortable experience. After a short amount of time with me, she recommended a treatment plan exceeding $1,000.00. Upon leaving, I mentioned something to her team member about my disappointing experience. She told me, "Well, she doesn't like pretty people." It sounds ridiculous, but those are the staff member's words, not mine. Needless to say, I will not be back. I don't mind spending a significant amount of money to keep my feet healthy, but it will be given to someone who understands how to provide remarkable customer service. A few days after my appointment, I went to dinner with friends. I mentioned my recent diagnosis which immediately prompted someone to ask the name of my podiatrist. I told him it was Dr. Titko. He then told all of us about what he characterized as an awful experience with her. Clearly, I am not alone. In an area the size of greater Cincinnati, it shouldn't be hard to find service with a smile. If those things are important to you, as they are to me, keep looking. more

Highly Recommended 7/24/2013

After starting an new running program, I started having pain in my left foot after running about 3 miles or so. I called Dr. Titko's office and they were able to see me within a week. From the time I walked in the door, the staff was courteous and efficient. After about a 15 min wait, I was in the treatment room. Dr. Titko quickly assessed my problem and outlined a treatment plan for me. Within a few visits, I was back to my training program. I have and will continue to refer anyone with foot and ankle problems to Dr. Titko. more

Go somewhere else and find that personal touch 4/11/2013

Its a numbers game there. They are straight forward, but they push thru to keep their profitability up. I read she was the best, but after going to her last year with my feet issues, she concentrated on a few warts I had first. After a year of trying to rid these warts, as that has occurred was the same warts grew and multiplied. A dermatolgist would of froze or burned them off, she said she would rather me apply this acidic paste and return every 2 weeks. After numerous visits, its worst. And still my initial concern for foot pain has never been addressed. Also, there was a major foul-up with regards to prescriptions and refills. And it was always the other nurse's fault. Bad communication issues. Like Bob Segar said "Feel like a number.." Otherwise, she doesn't really care. more

Very rude, condescending attitude 10/14/2012

At first I thought she was kind of funny and quirky, but I left there feeling offended and a little shocked that a doctor would act the way she does. I went in for ingrown toenail treatment, and she spoke to me as if I were a complete idiot. I mean, isn't that what I'm paying her for, to tell me what's wrong? I don't have the degree in podiatry, and I don't appreciate being treated like an idiot because of it. She matter of factly told me that my toenail is never going to grow back after having it treated at the emergency room. Of course I was a bit surprised and unhappy with the news, and i said something more

just what the doctor ordered 6/5/2012

My elderly aunt was very impressed with Dr. Titko's straightforwardness. She took an interest in her problems and quickly and efficiently offered solutions. Out of the way for us but so worth it. more

Highly Professional 10/18/2011

I would highly recommend Dr. Kristin Titko and her staff. They are highly professional in all aspects of their job. Dr. Titko is a great surgeon and doctor. She is very meticulous in her care. She is so good that when you heal you cannot even see the scar from the surgery incision. Foot care in her 1st concern. She and her staff are dedicated to yur healing and care. I always recommend her to anyone that tells me they need a foot doctor because they are having feet problems. I have her number in my cell phone. more

The entire office was very efficient from the time I signed in, to the time I was leaving. The doctor was very helpful with explaining my condition and the proper treatment for it. I would recommend her to everyone. more

DECEITFUL PRACTICES 8/1/2011

Office staff lied to me about coverage, and are now trying to stick me with a $250 bill that I was told I would not have to pay. They have sent me to collections and I am now seeking legal advice. Avoid this deceitful "medical" practice at all costs! more

Definitely Lack of People Skills 2/3/2011

Sought professional advice for in-grown toe nails. She was abrupt and rude in stating that all she could do was to remove the nails. Upon questioning possibilities, she immediately responded that she did not care about me liking the bling, pedicures, and manicures and there was nothing else she could do. Took about 5 mins and charged me $100.00. Did not even touch my toes. more

One Word "Quack" 10/27/2010

Dr Kristen does not care about me the patient, she only cares about how much money she can make off of me. No personality, no people skills, does not explain anything and is only in the room long enough to give me a shot and then she is off to the next person. I have learned more from the internet in 5 minutes than I did from her in 6 visits. Stay away from this Dr. You will thank me later. more

BEST PODIATRIST 6/13/2010

My feet are in her hands. I will make additional arrangements to travel that far but if she moves further away I'm going with her. I like her style, I like her personality and I am totally confident in her remarkable skills and professional ability when it comes to Podiatry. more

The best Pod in town! 5/13/2010

I've been seeing Dr Titko for about 4 and half years now. Originally went to her at the recommendation of my PT when I was in therapy and not having much success with my orthopod at the time. I had a terrible tendon tear in my foot that was major surgery and a years recovery. She is not a "warm & fuzzy" kind of doc. She is all business, but very professional. I have seen most of the other docs in her practice- the men, and they are all great too. Titko is a little conservative with her treatment, but I recovered from an injury that others said couldn't be corrected surgically. I trust her and wouldn't go anywhere else with my flat feet! more

People Skills Somewhat Lacking 5/16/2006

I incurred plantar fasciitis over the past few years but never sought help for it (weird condition, btw) until I accidentally pulled a ligament in this foot back in the spring of 2004. I went to the Centers for Foot Care on Hamilton Avenue and saw Dr. Kristin Titko. Her father is a podiatrist, but I've never dealt with him. There are other men in this practice as well. Dr. Titko may be a good surgeon, etc., but I never got to that point. I felt rushed during all of my visits; on the first visit, she didn't even tell me what my condition was but instead thrust a pamphlet into my hands and said in a hasty voice, "Here, read this!" I had to look it up online... She kept having me come back every other week or so, only to bandage my foot, which I could've done had I been given the proper instructions, saving me gas money and a co-pay. This taping is not a cure-all for this condition. I didn't feel like I was really receiving the best care. When she found out that I couldn't afford a custom orthotic, she did, thankfully, point me in the direction of the Power Step insert (you can get them for $30 at Bob Roncker's Running Spot in Madison Road (I think the suburb is O'Brienville), which is past Gilbert Avenue and further east on Madison Road, east of University Hospital/Reading Road). Fast forward: I accidentally fell in July of 2004 and went to this group to make sure my foot was not broken. Dr. Titko wasn't in; thankfully, one of her colleagues was, a Dr. Rodney Roof. Dr. Roof gave me a cam walker. Because our insurance at the time did not cover orthotics, this device was not covered, and we cannot afford $500 for something like that. The office staff spoke to Dr. Roof about my situation, and he, being a very caring physician, deciced to accept whatever the insurance company would pay and not worry about the remainder. I thought this went above and beyond the call of duty for a physician to do this and promptly sent him a thank-you letter. I was going to have an MRI done to examine the foot more closely, but due to my spouse's job loss not long thereafter, I did not go ahead with the MRI. I will deal with Dr. Roof again if my foot problem seems to worsen (it is bothering me again), but I won't schedule a visit with Dr. Titko. She seems to have an arrogant attitude about her. Like I previously stated, she may be okay, but I won't choose her as my # 1 podiatrist. more
