Great Experience, Beautiful Pool 4/18/2016

My pool was completed in the early fall and everything went very smooth and the pool looks fantastic. Lauren was very helpful and patient answering my million questions and explaining the entire process as I am very anxious when work is being done at my home. I opened my pool last week and even though the water is freezing my kids have already started using the spa. People usually only post bad reviews but after seeing my kids have so much fun I wanted to pass along how much of an easy experience Swim-Mor made the construction process for me and how beautiful it turned out. more

Horrible service - horrible people 7/16/2015

There isn't a word strong enough in the English dictionary to explain my horrible experience with Swimmor. The owners of the company are some of the most unethical, down-right-dirty people I have had the displeasure of working with. I should have trusted my gut and ran, but instead I was talked into hiring them to do our $80,000 pool. They will do whatever they need to do to get out of doing repairs or fixing problems they have caused. It is now at the point that every conversation I have with any swimmor person, I record it so that I have proof. They will say one thing to shut you up but they will never follow through with it. Dealing with them is enough to drive a person crazy. I only hope that karma comes back and bites them so hard in the a$$. Their prices may sound great in the beginning but there are so many hidden charges that you are better going to a reputable company not these clowns. Trust me when I tell you, signing up with Swimmor is liking making a deal with devil. I woul more

Terrible! So disappointed in Swim-Mor. We thought being family owned, they would take pride in doing the job right. We liked and trusted Chris who sold us the pool. Some of their crews were hard working but management is dismissive and unconcerned about their customer. He made constant excuses, told us things that didn't work were fine - without ever sending anyone to see if there was a problem. We signed contract in Oct., pool was dug in Feb. and it is now September and we are still trying to get it done. Our calls aren't returned, people don't show as scheduled and their sub-contractors are unethical. I saw some of the other reviews but Swim-Mor convinced me these were ""isolated incidents"" with ""unreasonable"" people. I guess I'm unreasonable too. I expected they would do the job that they were paid to do and that when they said 6 weeks to complete, it didn't mean 7 months and counting. I was afraid to write a negative review as they carry our ""warranty"" but since I can't get them to finish the pool, I'm sure I'll never see them for anything that falls under the warranty. It will probably expire before my pool contract is even complete. Don't make the same mistake we did.... more

The design turned out perfect, I keep my pool open 4-5 months of the year and I anxiously await summer when my pool is closed. Thanks guys! more

I love those guys! 6/1/2012

I can't believe the negative write ups and had to add my 2 cents. Swim Mor installed our pool in the fall of 2006. The entire installation process was smooth sailing, our first pool season (I had never had a pool before) the crew and office staff were and still are VERY helpful and walk me through problems or questions. Lauren and Mike have been wonderful and very helpful over the years and I'm still very happy I had chosen swim mor as my pool company. A friend of mine used "Distinctive Pools" in NJ, same year I had my pool installed and has spent thousands and thousands of dollars fixing their errors, had tried to take them to court over some things they left unfinished, then figured it would be cheaper to just fix it herself. She kicks herself for not going w/Swim Mor. I always feel very comfortable calling them and asking for help, when I go to Leslie Pool store I feel like all they do is try and sell me stuff, not explain things, but Swim Mor is not like that! my swim mor experience 4/25/2012

I just had my ten yr old pool worked on by Mike and the guys at Swim Mor and it looks great. My pool is about 10-11 yrs old and was looking old and tired. I got new coping and new tile. The crew was great, and they were in and out in one day. And the price was great. I just vaccumed my pool tonight and can't wait to start using it. This is my favorite time of the year, and Mike is the guy I call whenever there is a question or problem. Bill more

The guys at Swim Mor just came out and installed new coping and tile and my pool looks as good as new. After ten years it was looking a little tired. The workers were here early yesterday and finished the whole job in one day. We love our Swim Mor pool and have recommended Mike McCool and his team to several of our Medford friends. more

swim mor pools review 9/13/2011

had my pool completely redone this summer, gunite, tile, coping, pump and motor. Pool was installed in1983by swim mor, and never had any problems since then. Gunite was wearing out in a few areas, and some of the coping was stained, one piece of coping was falling apart from freezing damage, but nothing that stopped us from using the pool. Well, it didn't look bad, but wife didn't like it, so bit the bullet and had it redone by the people who originally put it in, swim mor. They weren't cheap, but theywere in line with other quotes I got, and decided to have them do it. After all, I didn't have to call any pool service people since 1983, everything original still worked. \r Very satisfied with the work this year, laborers worked their tails off without needing any direction,they knew what they were doing, and did it well. I had my pool installed 5 years ago, Swimmor only guarantees 3 years. In the first 3 years they were difficult to deal with and never provided good service once they were paid for the installation. The entire bottom of the pool cracked off and had to be replaced. Tiles have fallen off, I have replaced 4 motors and pumps, the chlorinator broke 2 years ago, the coping is lifting out of the ground. I would never recommend this company to anyone. After reading some of these posts, I have to think they were posted by Swimmor employees and the owner. When he says how can he be responsible for a 9 year old pool, well, the owner probably started calling about the problem 8 years ago. They are definitely NOT service oriented. Also, I was told by their office that they do not perform openings or closings once you are out of your 3 year warranty period, so whoever writes that they do, well they must know someone. more

Not Friend or Family 7/23/2011

Our pool is about four years old. We haven't had to use their service deptment until recently when the mortar on the coping began to crack and pieces of the bluestone coping were loose. I called the service deptment and talked to Eric. WIthin a couple days a crew was out and fixed the coping at no charge.\r \r I believe that people are more motivated to enter comments when they are upset and have negative things to say than when they get good service. I wanted to make sure that Eric and the service team were recognized for their good service. more

Swim-Mor is Top Notch! 5/5/2011

Since the first day that a Swim-Mor representative came to visit us back in the summer of 2007 our experience has been nothing short of excellent. The pool was installed on time exactly as designed and has provided my entire family with countless hours of fun and relaxation. We've used Swim-Mor for all of the annual services too (openings and closings) and they've always been professional, courteous and on-time. I highly recommend Swim-Mor to anyone that is considering adding a lifetime of fun to their back yard. more

Relaxing 3/29/2011

It's March, 34 degrees and I got to relax in 104 degree water in my spa for the first time this year. I couldn't wait to get in so I had Swim-Mor start it up early this year; best decision I made was adding the spa at the suggestion of Bob Lang, my salesman at Swim-Mor. The pool has been great, I only wish I new I could use the spa this early every year. more

Worst experience I ever had!!!! 1/26/2011

This company is horrible!!!! Listen to the complaints people they are for real. Those that have posted positive remarks must be employees or friends of the company. The offer a good price and you are happy for the first year. Then when the pool starts to fall apart, they do not respond and even will hang up on you. Lauren and Mike at the office have no customer service skills and are famous for saying, "that is out of warranty." I have a crack in my pool that they patched once already when it was three years old and now it is cracked again. I have been waiting since July 2010 for them to fix as I keep losing water from the pool. I am still waiting and it is 2011. If you want a cheaper inground pool that comes with headaches, go with swim-mor. more

Like an idiot I gave them a second chance. Worst company I have ever dealt with I am the owner of a concrete company and I can tell you off the bat that the profit margins on pools start at 75%. So before they dig a hole they all ready have their $ that's when the customer service stops. You are better off paying a bit more for a better company They and their employees are no good the owner is arrogant and rude more

Friendly Service 11/2/2010

I have six year old Swim-Mor Pool and could not be more pleased with the service we have had over the years. And now it means even more since I am recently divorced and my ex-husband would always close the pool himself. So I hired Swim-Mor to close the pool for me last year. They came out when they said they would and since I had no idea what I was doing I pestered the serviceman, Dave, with a million questions and he could not have been more accommodating. \r \r As an update to my review I wanted to add that during the winter because of all the snow parts of the cover began to sag, I tried to tighten it down myself but couldn't, I called Swim-Mor for help and even though it was February they sent someone out to take care of it and didn't even charge me.\r \r I just wanted to say thank you Swim-Mor and I would recommend them to anyone looking to a new swimming pool. more

The bottom of the pile! 10/26/2010

I noticed in response listed below,an earlier post from Swim mor management, that they would post the results of the findings(of a complaint) I can't seem to locate the updated post with findings? Maybe it's the same place that their pressure test results, allegedly conducted on my pool, is.\r \r My pool was built in 2002. there has been nothing nothing but troubles with this company from the first shovel full of dirt. The pool was not built to specs. Instead of refunding monies or building a structurally sound pool, they shortcutted where ever possible This created leakage. I have cracked tile, loose coping around the entire parameter of the pool. Excess leakage required the the pool to be filled every 2 to three times a week to replace the loss water. The leakage from the spa was so excessive that it has resulted in a one inch sink-age of our paver patio not to mention the loss of shrubbery due to flooding and chemicals from the pool.
