I have loved Starlite, and found it to be a great option for nice, upmarket downtown dining. It's not typically too stuffy and the food, in my experience, has typically been a stand out! So, when I went recently for a 30th birthday party, I was SORELY disappointed by both the food and the service. We had called three weeks in advance to make a reservation, and were promised the semi-private upstairs lounge for our group of 11. We were very prompt, and ordered soon after sitting down. Most people ordered a started and an entree, which turned out to be a disaster. Neither the appetizer or main courses were brought out at one time, so we had people waiting upwards of 10 minutes for the entire table to be served before starting to eat, and when it came time for the entrees, one dish was just NEVER BROUGHT OUT (it was especially bad that the woman who never got her food was pregnant). We ended up having to cancel our desert order to make the rest of the night flow on time, and we were just overall very let down. The food was over-salted and not cooked well at all to boot.
Pros: Trendy, fun place downtown, willing to work with big groups
Cons: Spotty service & food quality
