Unscrupulous and dirty - gives attornies a bad name 6/29/2011

Sherin no doubt has a good understanding of the law, as she is very good at manipulating it. She operates with no moral or ethical lines, and isn't afraid to ""play dirty"" to win. If you have any principals, even a solid victory in court will leave you feeling like you lost out has a human being. Sherin won my case hands down, saving me a lot of money, but I was disgusted with the entire process with her and will not use her services again. As far as billing rates, she is a little ""loose"" in how much time she bills for phone calls . . . not in your favor! more

I was saved from the Voluntary Departure 6/27/2011

I had been placed in the deportation proceedings and was ordered by the Dallas Immigration Court to voluntarily depart the United States by June 16, 2011. I did not wish to return to my home country as I am a well established business owner with property, residence and family in US. I was at my wits end, when a friend suggested me to visit Ms. Sherin Thawer. Sherin entered into negotiations with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (USICE) attorneys and was able to have government?s attorneys to agree to terminate deportation proceedings. The morning of June 14, 2011, Sherin filed a Joint Motion to Terminate Voluntary Departure and Motion to Stay Deportation Proceedings, and in the evening the Honorable Immigration Judge granted the order to terminate and order to stay benefitting me. Filed Ac21 and now got my GC 6/9/2011

I am a regular listener of Sherin on Fun Asia Radio and went directly to her when I planned to change my Employer. She looked at my case, asked few questions and said everything looks good and appplied for my AC21. I was a little nervous because I was changing employers and had so many questions but she answered all of them giving me the much needed confidence. She is very knowledgeable and has so much of patience to answer any question we have. In these 2 and half years whenever I heard any problems with changing employers I always said to myself ""Sherin is taking care of my case, I don't have to worry"" ""Sherin is taking care of my case, I don't have to worry"" and I was proved right. Now my PD is current and got my Green card approval. It just couldn't be any smoother than this. I would strongly recommend any one who has immigration issues to go to Law Offices of Sherin Thawer and have peace of mind. Got my GC after i changed jobs 6/9/2011

My employer filed for my I-140 which was approved . I had a tiff with my employer and changed jobs. I assumed my GC processing was over. Heard Sherin Thawer's ad on Funasia radio.Went to meet her in person. She patiently heard my story. She told me there was a way to retain original approvals and priority dates even if i no longer worked with original employer and explained to me all underlying conditions. I was glad to know i fit the bill. The very next day she filed for me and boy within a few months i got my GC. Thanks Sherin , for all your help.I am lucky , I came to you ! more

my ICE hold removed ... 6/2/2011

I entered United States on a F1 student visa. Due to some financial problems, I was unable to continue my higher education. My F1 was revoked and I was out of Status for a while. I started driving cabs and got picked up by a cop for a DWI . The cops and ICE put me in jail and won't let me go. I had lost hope. A friend told me about Sherin and we got in touch with her. Thank God we approached her, because she is the one who got me out of the jail and back on my feet . She also ensured that my future immigration application with USCIS is not jeaopardised. more

The Mandamus helped my AOS case ! 5/27/2011

I went to these guys to assist me in moving forward my long pending I-485, Adjustment of Status Application. I am from Pakistan and I had filed this I-485 on the basis of an I-140, Worker petition through my employer .There was no action on my file by USCIS and after months of waiting, I was issued a Notice of Intent to Deny my application by the USCIS. Sherin drafted a very precise Mandamus annd filed it against Federal Northern District Court and summons were issued and served on all six (6) agencies ? United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, etc . Thanks to her , I managed to receive the much awaited approval. Thak you Sherin , you are a go getter and haters be damned ! more

My H1B was a breeze 5/24/2011

I am a registered nurse and I do not understand why do people come up with such negativity. I went to this Law Office to premium process my H1B visa. With the recent Tri Valley Issue and the stringent H1B scrutiny norms i was really sceptical about my petition. But thanks to Ms. Thawer and her sharp team, within fifteen (15) days, I got my H1B approval up until December 2013. more

She is a money HOGGER!! 5/23/2011

I am pretty confident that the positive reviews have been composed & published by Sherin herself. She is a cold hearted person who cares about money only. She is unprofessional to the core and has no idea what she is doing. Most of the time her assistant knows more than her. She will talk to you nicely at first and once you hand over the case to her she will create fake bills and charge you a fortune for her service which is not worth a penny. It is a different scenario if a professional is charging you a fortune and getting the work done, however she is only concerned about the dollars you give her. She literally does not know what she is talking about!! I mean it. I would recommend you to go to some other immigration lawyer who is not marketing themselves on the radio. She is a very cold hearted and unsympathetic professional I had to deal with. ToTAL RIP OFF!! more

A difference in opinion 5/17/2011

As a previous client of this office, I beg to differ. My husband was put into deportation, and I have been diagnosed with cancer. I also am a mother of a 2 year old baby. I find it very appalling to find these kinds of reviews and attacks upon Sherin and her office after all of the hardwork and dedication they have put into my case. My husband now has his greencard and our family is so thankful for sherin, and it was worth every penny. more

Money laundering service..dont go 5/15/2011

We went to her office on january to process my husband's status problem due to his school. We took an appointment with sherin thawer and paid $75 :-(. We have to wait for more than half an hour for Sherin Thawar but some random lady took us to her room. She was unexperienced , mannerless , rude and less knowledge abt everything. Since we start explanining her abt our situation she start scaring and discouraging us till death instead of helping and showing us the right way to get off from the situation. Her explanation freaked me out and I start crying. But she gave a good solution to sign a non-refundable $1500 contract for no reason. Then after me and my husband we just understand that she just do the money laundering service. Then later I did the exact samething by myself with out paying any penny... it was FREE FREE FREE..thank god we ended up by not signing her stupid contract. PLZ dont go there it was a horrible experience. more

My Orthodox Church hired the Law Offices of Sherin Thawer, P.C., to petition the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (?USCIS?) for one of our priests to come as a nonimmigrant to the US to perform services as a vicar. my H1B approved 5/2/2011

My employer filed for my H1B Petition. The story would be like any other with the only exception that I had a lot of challenges to face.I had a gap in my status. Specifically, I had to demonstrate that I had maintained a lawful H-1B nonimmigrant status inspite of this gap throughtout the pendency of my petition filed with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.With the convincing legal arguments The Law Offices of Sherin Thawer, P.C., was able to persuade the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Vermont Service Center that I was entitled to H1B and my petition was approved susequently. more

We retained the Law Offices of Sherin Thawer for filing our N-400 Application for Naturalization. USCIS requested additional evidence related to my employment since i changed jobs in the middle of my processing . With the assistance of the team at the Law Offices of Sherin Thawer, P.C.; the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (?USCIS?) center processed my application immediately. Within less than four (4) months I received the biometrics and interview notices; and no sooner I also received an Approval and Welcome Notice to the United States as a US Citizen, I am thrilled. more

Caring and Compassionate 5/2/2011

I retained the Law Offices of Sherin Thawer, P.C., to assist me in the filing an N-400 Application for Naturalization. I had an issue with English Language as well my memory due to my old age . I had previously gone to a doctor that had failed to conduct a thorough examination for purposes of obtaining a medical waiver for me and I had already undergone the examination twice, but every time I had failed. Then, entire team at the Law offices of Sherin Thawer, P.C., provided me with a referral to a more prestigious medical professional and worked firmly to prepare me for the naturalisation interview. With their diligent assistance and an accurate preparation, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (?USCIS?) Our saviour 5/2/2011

I retained the Law Offices of Sherin Thawer to file the (I-485) Adjustment of Status Application for my wife (K3 visa holder). This case had complications because the I-485 was filed much later then the allowed 90 days. Furthermore, after the biometrics, my wife had been arrested for a shoplifting charge. This unfortunate incident caused an obstacle in the case as Ms. Sherin had to prove that my wife possessed good moral character inspite of the said incident and convince the USCIS that my wife deserved a permanent residency status. Please know that with the assistance of experienced and knowledgeable Sherin Thawer, my wife finally has a greencard . more

Patient and Dedicated 4/22/2011

I worked with Sherin on a LIFE Act 245(i) application and can say that she goes ?beyond duty? to succeed: she studied my case and worked hard to get the application as complete and solid as possible addressing my questions with patience and clear responses; she took steps to get things moving even at her own expense. She is a piece of work. Her show on the radio is a sham and she knows nothing about complex immigration issues. She is okay for filing simple paperwork, but beyond that do not be compelled to hire her just because she is Indian. Go to good attorney even if it costs a lil bit more. She and her team and laughable!!! Just money hungry slut! more
