super nice and professional 3/10/2011

I found myself in need of hiring an immigration lawyer to help assess my case. I recently got married and I was referred to this immigration office. Ever since we met Sherin Thawer, my husband and I felt extremely comfortable in our decision to hire this great team! The entire staff is very friendly and helpful at the office and I am sure we've made the right choice. My case is still in progress and I appreciate all the help I have received up to this point. Unexpected! 2/15/2011

I left a message with her office, expecting them never to return my call. Sherin called me within 2 hours. I talked to her for about 40 minutes, where she listened to my predicament and then gave me the most cogent, honest advice I had ever received from an attorney, on not only immigration law, but on my case. The advice she gave me helped me advise my attorney and ended up getting a reversal on the judgment the judge had given. I did not have to even consider anything after that. Thanks Sherin! more

Phenomenal Service 2/11/2011

I'd been looking for a lawyer for the past several years to help with my extremely complicated case. I've been an American citizen for 10 years now and for some reason had been unable to sponsor my parents, who have severe health issues. Sherin and her team were more than willing to ensure that my parents got here under any circumstances. Her ""will to win"" is definitely empowering and I would highly recommend her to everyone!! more

Great People and Professionals!!! I had a previous attorney that I had problems in communicating with him and was lazy in following up on my naturalization case. After 5 months I chose to look for a different attorney and I was lucky to have Sherin Thawer law firm. .Sherin is very diligent and persistent and knows her subject very well, which helped me in obtaining my citizenship. Finally, I do recommend this office, and their entire staff, as they were very helpful, efficient, detail oriented and pleasure to work with. more

Ripoff-- beware!!! 12/26/2010

It seems that most of the positive feedback here was created by Sherin and her cohorts. Sherin's practices are unethical: first she will get you to think that you have a huge issue, then she will sell you services you don't need and will tell you that you'd better do this right now because you are in big trouble. Then she will make you sign a ""non-refundable"" contract. Later you will find out that you did not need the services and you can't get your money back. This is exactly what happened to us. Paraphrasing our new lawyer's words ""this is clearly...unethical lawyer."" more

?I have been awaiting my green card for the past ten years. Before I came to Ms. Thawer, many other lawyers have been representing me. However, it seemed to me that my case had been frozen in time. Other attorneys either did not provide responses or felt that the case was to complex to take on. Ms. Sherin Thawer listened, analyzed the progress, or lack of same, and took on my case. Initially, she advised me that it would take about 6 to 9 months to obtain my green card, but within 3 months, I received my approval letter. She is the most remarkable attorney I have ever met?. more

MONEY HUNGRY, RIP OFF LAWYER 8/2/2010

Sherin Thawer is a money hungry lawyer. All she cares about is payment, when she wants it, she'll contact you non-stop until she gets every penny. But delivering the work and submitting your case is a whole different matter. She hands over her work to her assistants, who's first languages aren't even english. Nothing is reviewed or proof read before it gets submitted anywhere, and she never is on time with anything. She won't rectify or ever admit if she is wrong, she just avoids her clients. I would definitely not recommend her. Pros: She's good at sweet talking and making you sign up with her. Cons: She's actually a complete rip-off! more

You can count on me referring anyone and everyone I know (who has a need for your services ? and maybe just random people who want to talk about The Office) to you. Truly, we have had many negative experiences dealing with home purchasing/financing, etc. (what with all our vacation properties in several countries, etc.) ? o.k., not ?many? ? but everyone up to this point was somehow less than desirable.
