As far as my experiences with Ms. Sherin Thawer goes,it was excellent it is very Surprising that people have had unpleasant experiences with the office.I personally found that once I provided all the requested information to Ms. Sherin and her staff they start working on my case very professionally and in very organized manner to get me the desired result in my rather complicated immigration case. more

Just wanted to let you know that I got my visitors visa for Canada this morning at the Canadian Consulate in NY. I submitted all the documents that Sherin sent me and it was a very quick interview. The immigration officer agreed that the Visa might have been denied last time because of insufficient documentation. She was satisfied with all the documents we submitted and issued me the Visa. ?I initially came to know Sherin through one of my friends. My employee?s H1 transfer was rejected, and I was a big state of tension. Sherin, helped me out with her expertise. She sounded very confident and professional and she advised me to setup an Infopass appointment and she made sure that, my employee?s previous H1 was valid and my employee happily started worked for her previous employer. Sherin?s effort was life saving and I would recommend any one to take her expert advise and suggestions and consult with her. Very Arrogant 5/8/2010

We took a 1pm appointment and went to her. She did not turn up until 1:25. After she came back, she was shouting at me asking what the urgency is and why can't i wait.She think her time is valuable, but not her client's. She does not have enough patience to explain her answers. Over all not at all a pleasant experience. Pros: None, i can think of Cons: She spoke as if i went for a free consulatation. Rude. more

Never USE this Law Form 4/21/2010

I called for a consultation. The person does not speak very good english. However I under stood she told me the fee would be for mins consultation is $40. When I went to consultation Shirin asked me to provide my credit card as she needs more $35. It was very kind of rude. However I opposed and told her the front office confirmed $40 why I need another $35? Hoiwever , before I even finish stating my case, she making coments as if she understood the case. But she was too far from my case . I wish I did not go there. Please don't go. Shirin will rip you off. She also make nasty comments about other desi attorneys. Pros: Non English Speaking Cons: Cheats more

Rude and not worth it 3/20/2010

Me and my wife went to get some information and when my wife was explaining she cuts her conservation without listening and she does not know how to convey the message. she is so rude and not worth it. After that conversation with her we felt how these people treat the clients. Instead of asking her to change we changed her by contacting other law office. Thanks! Stay Away!! Limited immigration knowledge 2/9/2010

Sherin Thawer is one of the most incompetent and unprofessional attorneys in DFW. She advised my wife to file her paperwork even though her priority date was not current. We paid over $2000 in her fees, and over $1300 in INS fees. The INS ended up rejecting the application, and not cashing the check for the INS fees of over $1300, which was payable to the Department of Homeland Security. She is still holding our money, refuses to return the money, and refuses to answer any of our inquiries. Her radio show should be banned because it is NOT a community service, it is false advertising to get more customers in. Cons: Too many to list more

Yale law degree doesn't mean she has a clue 1/24/2010

I assumed that a Yale trained lawyer would be a good person to have representing me, but all I found was a self absorbed counselor that was only good at billing hours. She is quick to accept a case, even if she has no real experience in the area you need representation. Her hourly rate should be less than half of what she charges based upon how effective her work product is. I ultimately had to change attorneys to find one that could quickly resolve the matter at less than 1/3 of the cost I had incurred with Ms. Thawyer. She needs to stay with closing real estate transactions and leave the actual practice of law to those who know what they're doing. Pros: Speaks english Cons: Too many to list. more

she is really rude and does not know how to treat the clients. When i am explaining my immigration case, she was busy checking her emails on the phone and pretended that she was listening. She did not even give alternatives on my case. Please do not go to her with your immigration questions. more
