I wanted a massage downtown in Dallas, and was glad to find this massage therapist. Pros: Downtown massage therapist

I was very excited to go to Sedona Spa. I had a friend in from out of town and we wanted a good massage and facial. I read all the reviews and decided to give it a shot since th...

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sedona 8/20/2007

I am Sedona member and I absoultely love it. The staff there is so friendly. Not only do they offer a circuit of overall excerises but they also have treadmills, free weights and classes for everyone womans needs. I am a mother of 5 boys therefore my only spare time is at lunch. Sedona is very close to my job so I can work out, shower, get dressed and back to work in my lunch hour. more

The Sauna Rocks! 8/20/2007

The infrared sauna is so cool. I love to sit in it after a long work-out and just relax, while burning a ton of calories and sweating out toxins. I have knee problems and the sauna is recommended by doctors for pain. I can't say that it's ever stopped a pain that I was having in my knee, but I can say that I haven't had any knee aches since I joined Sedona. Also, I'm in my twenties and still occasionally have the occasional break-out. I feel like the sauna is helping my skin. Word of advice--make sure you have plenty of time to shower after the sauna. You'll sweat a whole lot. I hate having sweat stuck on my skin, so I'll either go straight home and shower there or just use the showers at Sedona. The showers there have everything you'll need, including straighening irons, curlers, hairspray, deoderant, lotions, make-up remover, and so on. more

Sedona Gym caters to women! 8/20/2007

I've been a member at Sedona for a few months now, and I'm already a regular. It's never crowded, so you almost always have access to whatever machine you want. They have a great circuit (various work out stations where you stay 30 seconds to a minute at each one and then switch to the next) and play really fun music for it. When I've been in gyms before, I've never wanted to shower at the gym. I'd always leave to shower at home. At Sedona, I'm fine with showering there. It's a women's gym, so there's no men around. The locker room has everything you need in it from straightening irons to fragranced lotions to make-up remover and more, so you never have to lug a bunch of stuff up there to get ready with if you are showering there. The staff is very helpful and loves to make you feel like a friend. And one of the best parts is the sauna! You can burn like 600(?) calories in 30 minutes just sitting there, and my skin is reaping the benefits, too. more

Uniquely Special - Fitness Equipment & Classes, Spa & More in a Gorgeous Sparkling Zen Space 8/19/2007

thmnbigd Provided by Partner
LOVE Sedona! This lovely ZEN spa space feels so clean and sparkling and pampering (open, airy, high-ceilinged urban hip ? natural materials, clean soothing lines) that it?s almost too luxurious for a workout. But look again and you?ll see that there are state-of-the-art circuit training equipment and cardio equipment, free weights and a remarkably varied offering of classes (yoga, pilates, dance, body sculpting, hip hop, kickboxing, as well as classes for target areas - e.g., arms, legs, glutes, abs?) at various times throughout the day (morning, midday and evening), in a spacious and beautiful new mirrored, hardwood-floored studio. Follow up this up with a FAR Infrared Sauna to top off your sweat/ detox, and a restorative shower and primping in the upscale, ergonomic, generously stocked dressing area, and you (like all of the other members) will emerge to face the rest of your day (or evening) tuned, toned, refreshed, better, brighter and beautiful. ALSO - don?t miss the awesome spa services with Sedona?s expert and nurturing spa facialist and massage therapist; AND be sure to take advantage of the seminars and health and nutrition information and support Sedona provides. All in the company of embracing and supportive staff and fellow gym members ? many professional women, all ages and fitness levels, all sharing a friendly, welcoming camaraderie in this special space. I feel and look very noticeably healthier, trimmer and slimmer since joining Sedona ? just finished my third month. Women?s fitness that?s effective and fun, too. Love it, love it, love it! Thank you, Zane, Larah and all of the other wonderful Sedona angels! Pros: great value, variety of services, ambience, staff, cleanliness, fellow gym members more

Best Gym in Downtown, Awesome Nutritionist on staff 5/23/2007

I've been going to Sedona for about 2 months now and I am absolutely in love with this place. The people are friendly and the gym is so cozy and warm. It makes you actually WANT to workout. Both the staff and the nutritionist on staff help to make you feel empowered to really make a change in your life. I highly recommend it to anyone serious about getting fit and wants people that make them feel comfortable in their own skin. Pros: Great instructors, no skinny, half-dressed women walking around Cons: A little pricey more

Sedona is an expectational place to workout. Its an escape for the regular workday and a treat for your body. Its a place where you will get attention and gain results. If you are looking for a change, and need a little push to get started, Sedona will be the place you'll want to go! \r more

PERFECT! 5/1/2007

Okay, I already LOVE Sedona Fitness - there is something special about it that makes me want to be there all the time -- and now the Sedona Spa is open so I am now officially SPOILED. Who thought of such perfect place? One place to workout, take yoga, tan, sit in the sauna, get a facial, get my eyebrows waxed and then throw in a hot stone massage just because I can? Every day I can take care of me a little bit more and a little bit better. I can't express how much I LOVE this place. I work downtown so their special selection of 30-40 minute services mean I can always squeeze in a little me time at lunch of before my commute. I'm buying my Mom a day at Sedona for Mother's Day. Staff is amzaing. Prices are excellent. As a member, I get 10% off Spa. Pros: Great Services,Uber Convenient, Great Staff - Very Personable Cons: NO CONS more

Best Gym I have ever been to! 4/26/2007

Sedona is the best gym I have ever been to. It is not only a place to work out, but the staff and all the other women at that work out there are so friendly. I have made some great friends just through this health club. Not only can I do cardio and weights on my own time, but I can also sign up for great, unique classes (yoga, kickboxing, boot camp) that keep me motivated. The staff actually cares about their members and they really want everyone to succeed at whatever goals they have set up for themselves. They also bring out new competitions with great prizes (I won a free facial!) to help keep you motivated. Even when I don't feel like working out, I can always sit in the FAR Infared Spa and still burn tons of calories while I read a book. Definitely check this place out! Pros: Great staff, variety in activities more

Awesome! Let me count the ways........... 3/12/2007

Cardio, yoga, tanning, circut...much much more! It may sound silly, but I love the locker rooms, they provide all of the items you need. Hair products, lotions, towels..... you only need to bring you and your goals! They have alot of specials now as well, so go in, tell them what you want and see what they can do. This is the best womens only facility I have been to! Oh, and you can go to OTHER shape express facilities as well ( bet you didn't know that!) for free. Go NOW!!!!! You aren't losing any weight reading this! Pros: I love the facility and the perks and price! more

Best Kept Secret in Dallas 3/11/2007

I can't believe what a JEWEL this place is! Sedona is fairly new downtown - and in my opinion, it IS the best kept secret in Dallas?.. I doubt it remains under the radar much longer, because it?s TOO FABULOUS. I was just looking for a place to workout and burn off the ""Winter 10"" -- and now I find myself thoroughly enjoying myself and looking forward to my time there. It?s so different than a typical gym ? from the way it?s designed to the perfect/positive comfortable energy that seems to be pumped in through the air vents or something. It could be the women only factor that enhances the vibe ? but whatever it is, you can feel it. I personally rotate daily between classes, cardio and the circuit with a little tanning and a LOT of Sauna thrown in. I am totally HOOKED on their Sauna. Have you ever heard of Infrared Sauna? Me neither, (apparently it is not common), but they have it - and it is AMAZING! After I sat in it for one 30 minute session, my face literally glowed for 2 days. It?s beautifully decorated - at just the right level of ?chic? so you get the shi-shi spa feel, but not so much that you don?t feel like you can?t touch anything. They provide all the products, blowdryers, etc. so you don?t have to lug in your own stuff. They also hired all the right people - their class instructors are top notch and the staff is genuinely nice. They greet me enthusiastically by my first name every time I come in and they always seem happy to see me. I have never had this level of personal attention before at any gym and, I have to say - I like it. \r \r Last but definitely not least, their prices are too low. I pay $59 a month for everything ? gym/tanning/sauna/classes, and as a member I get 10% off spa services. Total Steal. But, let?s continue to keep that part a secret! Pros: Variety, Infrared Sauna is Unique, Excellent Staff, Beautiful Facility, Easy to get to Cons: NO CONS! more

Oh, and you can tan too :) Pros: Great price and Owned by a woman! Let's support eachother! Cons: I guess parking, but I pay for it for 1$ for an hour... big deal. more
