Best

The Traditional Steak house atmosphere is preserved in such a comfortable way. It looks effortless but I think it is thru a lot of effort that their professional restaurant style...

Worst

Quality of beef is not great.... beef is a bit tough - but edible... and you get LOTS of it. Definitely not a ritzy place. Pros: quantity Cons: quality

Comfort Food and more.... 9/22/2002

Go early to beat the crowd if at all possible. I found the steak not quite to my liking, it may have been a bad cut. Their fried chicken and potatoes is to die for. Pros: value Cons: crowded, wait time more

No Return 9/19/2002

After not partaking of the food here for many years, I was VERY disappointed that everything was the same!! I did expect the quality to improve with the years, solid proof, you don`t have to have quality to live on your name!! Very overrated & overpriced for food that has no taste!! Pros: clean Cons: overpriced, poor quality, no taste! more

Stark location is primo! 9/15/2002

The Sayler's over on Stark is absolutely fantastic. I've never had less than a wonderful meal there and the service is great. Service is just as great at their Beaverton location, but somehow the food just isn't as good. Stick to the main restaurant on Stark and you can't go wrong. Pros: Fantastic food, Great service, family atmosphere Cons: Beaverton not great more

GREAT PLACE TO GO! TRY THE BAR OUT! 8/29/2002

GREAT FOR DINNER BUT SAYLER'S STEAK HOUSE IS ALSO A GREAT PLACE TO GO FOR LATE NIGHT SNACKS. THE BAR OFFERS LOW-PRICED APPETIZERS FROM 9PM TIL CLOSE-STARTING AT A $1.99. SIMULAR LATE NIGHT APPETIZER MENU TO STANFORD'S. GREAT STAFF-WINE SELECTION IS UNBEATABLE!! ALSO-TRY THE SHRIMP! - CAN'T BE BEAT ANYWHERE IN TOWN-TRUST ME! more

Great meal - reasonable price 8/23/2002

My boyfriend and I went there for dinner recently. There was a little wait, but that was o.k. because we sat in the comfortable bar for a while. The cocktailer was very nice. Our dinners were excellent - I loved my sauteed prawns, and my boyfriend said his New York was about the best he ever had. Their wine list is extensive, and very reasonably priced. Very good meal for the price. Probably the best value anywhere. Pros: Great food, reasonable price, nice employees Cons: Decor needs updating more

PAN FRIED STEAK !!! PT 2 8/11/2002

Sayler's is awful. Bland, pan fried stead is a crime in the south and midwest and this place would be run out of town. I had the rib eye, and while it was a prime cut of meat, it was cooked very bad and had only the flavor of grease and the salt and pepper I had to throw on it. Everything else was fine, good service, sides were fine, but being a steak house Sayler's gets very low grades. Would I come back pt 2? No way Pros: service Cons: steak more

So Full I could die. 8/5/2002

I've been a weekly visitor to Sayler's for the past 4 months and I'm never dissapointed. The meals with all the extras are so filling that I often hurt by meals end. Rarely do I have to wait to be seated, though on Friday and Saturday nights I would recomend calling ahead. Pros: Excellent Food, Great Onion Rings, Good Portions Cons: Lots of Families, Lots of Old folks more

excellent 7/26/2002

For our special family occasions we come to Sayler's for a good steak dinner. more

PAN FRIED STREAK!!! 7/10/2002

Having heard good things about Sayler's Old Country Kitchen, specifically on this site I decided to give it a try. Well, I thought it was bloody awful. Granted dinner for two was reasonable however, Im not going to judge a restaurant by its price point. Nope, no way! They specialize in steak and thats what Im going to use as my benchmark; and let me say, Saylers set the standard quite low. I ordered the rib-eye, while my girlfriend decided on the filet. After munching on the relish for a few minutes our orders arrived. The rib-eye was of mediocre quality and was not medium-rare as I had requested and the fries were greasy and appeared to have been re-fried and the water had a rusty taste! My girlfriend appeared to enjoy her fillet The server was polite and courteous. Would I go back dont think so. more

Wow, what a steak 6/26/2002

My first visit will not be my last. Upon being seated for my visit this cheesy load speaker anouncing the 400lb guy just finished the motherload of all steaks made me and my wife nearly fall out of our seats. Just for this reason I will return. As for the food fantastic portions, excellent taste and much much more. more
