Raleigh's Best Stylist- Rodney Robledo 6/15/2010

I recently moved to Raleigh from NYC and I've had such a hard time finding a salon that can do my hair like what I'm used to in the city, until I was lucky enough to meet Rodney at Samuel Cole... He immediately made me feel relaxed and confident that I was in good hands , (not to mention he's easy on the eyes). I went in with shoulder length brown hair, and I told him that I wanted to soften my look for summer. Rodney gave me some sexy caramel highlights and long flowing layers that frame my face perfectly! I am so impressed with his style and expertise that I will definitely recommend him to my friends, family, co workers or anyone looking for an amazing stylist in the Raleigh area !!!!!!!!!!! Pros: Big city atmospere with southern hospitality! Cons: none ! more

Great first experience at SC! 6/14/2010

I recently went to Samuel Cole for the first time based a referral from my roommate. The first thing I noticed was the friendliness of the receptionist. She was so nice and genuine, not like so many other salon receptionist whom I have found to be a bit snobby. I saw Robyn and loved how she listened to my likes and dislikes and gave me a great haircut! She really took her time which I really appreciated. She wasn't real chatty but to me thats a plus, that means she's focusing on giving me a good haircut! She told me about the products she was using and how to best style my hair. I liked the fact that she wasn't pushy about buying the B&B products when I explained that I had products at home that I needed to use first. Overall a great experience and I would definatley recomment this salon and this stylist! Pros: great welcome bag, friendly staff Cons: it can get expensive if your not careful! more

Nikki is wonderful 6/5/2010

I have been frustrated with hair salons in the area for a long time. After reading about Samuel Cole in the newspaper, I decided to give it a try. When I called and asked for advice on which stylist to use, the person I spoke to REALLY listened to what I was interested in and matched me up with Nikki. She is wonderful. She colored and highlighted my hair perfectly and I got a great edgy cut!!!! I immediately made 2 more appointments. This is a wonderful Salon and I highly recommend it. Alexis is Absolutely Fantastic 6/2/2010

I've been going to another salon in the area for 8 years but for a number of reasons I was ready for a change. I've always heard good things about Samuel Cole Salon so I decided to give them a try. I explained exact cut and color that I wanted. Alexis not only listened but gave me exactly the picture in my head. She also explained what products she was using and why and how I should use them at home. My hair has never looked better!!! I am so glad I made the switch to Samuel Cole and found Alexis!!! Best salon experience I've ever had! 5/24/2010

I was looking for a stylist, and a friend recommended Erin at Samuel Cole. I decided to make an appointment, and I'm so glad I did! Every time I see her, I know that I'm getting expert advice from a well-educated and trustworthy source. She really knows how to best style and care for hair depending on color, texture, etc. My hair is always healthy and looks great. Erin is so good at making me feel comfortable and helping me make the best decision for my hair. She's got a great personality and is so much fun to talk to! The paraffin hand treatments are a fun bonus, too :) more

Perfect experience with Ashley and Keisha 3/26/2010

I saw a woman at the airport and she had great color. I asked where she had her hair done and she referred me to Ashley at Samuel Cole. The salon is very professional and welcoming, not pretentious at all. They carry Bumble and Bumble products which are great. Pros: Good color and cut, great atmosphere more

LOVED the experience 3/25/2010

Was in salon yesterday with stylist Nichole Lumaye. It was my first time in the salon and with this stylist and I walked away loving my look. She transformed my bright blonde ridiculous hair into a natural, bright and beautiful look. Nichole was so sweet and I will be a client for life. Loved the salon! Z Sara Beard Experience 3/11/2010

When somone walks up to me on the street and asks me ""Hey man.. where did you get your hair cut"" I proudly reply ""Samuel Cole Salon in Raleigh NC, of course"". After discovering the talent Sara Beard brings to the salon, I knew I would never have my hair cut elsewhere. Before moving back to Raleigh, I would drive two hours from Wilmington just to meet with Sara for the delightful experience that is her haircut. FABULOUS! Nico is amazing! 3/11/2010

This was my first time ever going to a salon in the Raleigh area. I normally go home once a year to get my hair done, but I just couldn't stand it anymore. After searching around on Google, I found Samuel Cole. I was somewhat hesitant, considering their listed price of a regular wash/cut/style (I'm a poor college student) and the fact that I'm very particular with my hair. But my first visit was PHENOMENAL! Not only was the receptionist incredibly friendly, so was Nico. She greeted me with a handshake and a warm smile, and we immediately hit it off! Professional, friendly, and so upbeat, I couldn't ask for anyone better! I absolutely LOVE my new haircut. It's the first time I've ever been fully satisfied with it. She also really listened to my concerns and hairstyling habits and was able to suggest some tips that were easy to work into my hectic schedule. Love LOVE LOOOOVE her! The salon itself is very well-maintained, professional, and chic. The staff also pampers you with complimentary drinks. At the end of my appointment, I also got a free sample and some coupons for future services (always a bonus). Basically, if you're looking for a fabulous salon in the Raleigh area, Samuel Cole is THE best. It's pricey, but it's definitely worth it (especially Nico). Pros: Everything! Cons: None. more

Highly recommend. Sarah did a fabulous job!! 3/5/2010

I finally found a hair salon I love in Raleigh!! Sarah was very easy to talk to and professional. She took time to listen to me and I felt she heard me. It was obvious she was highly trained and dedicated, also excited about her career. I love my new haircut! I have curly hair that is moody, too long and it won't curl, too short and it won't curl. My new cut is super easy to maintain and very sharp, I got lots of compliments. I also got my hair colored. I had been driving 2 hours east to do this, and even though it is more expensive here-the color is more flattering and up to date. Not to mention saving money on gas! Sarah was great about giving me money saving tips, how to make color last longer, even telling me about a sister salon that could give me touch-ups for less. Impressive. The salon itself is well-maintained and professional, and they pamper you with free drinks and hand massages. I also received free samples of hair products to take home plus coupons on future services. In a nutshell-if you're looking for a new salon...I highly recommend this one. It's worth the money, especially Sarah. Pros: Great haircut, super friendly staff. Cons: Not cheap more

I had a hard time finding a salon that I would return to. At Samel Cole, I had a great time getting my hair done and I felt so good afterwards. Carolyn has alot of knowledge of the newest cuts, colors and maintainence. Very good products were used and she was not pushy at all about them. Its worth every dime walking out and feeling like a million bucks :) I tell her to have her way with my hair and it always looks so great after. I highly recommend asking for Carolyn for your next app! Pros: Great cut and color, open good hours Cons: None more

This was my first visit to Samuel Cole Salon. I was extremely impressed with the wonderful atmosphere, friendly service and the complimentary extras. But most of all, I was impressed with the level of professional service I received at this salon. I have battled for years with my frizzy, thick, wavy hair. After we spent time talking about my hair issues, Sara came up with a beautiful hair style that embraces the wavy side of my hair, while getting rid of the excessive volume and all of the frizz. For the first time in over 10 years, I am so happy with my hair! I was even able to reproduce the exact look at home after washing it and styling it myself. My husband loves the new look and my children responded with, ""Wow! You look so pretty Mommy!"" This is definitely a 5 star salon and I cannot imagine going anywhere else after experiencing such high standards! Pros: Wonderful service more

Amazing Experience 1/13/2010

My husband and I have been watching Tabatha's Salon Takeover on Bravo and I realized that the salon I was currently going to was like those in trouble so we searched the web and found SamuelCole. My daughter (22) and I went in for makeovers. We had the most amazing time. Nico and Kelly did our hair they were extremely knowledgeable about what would look best for us. Not only did they nail the coloring but the cuts were incredible. The compliments we've received on our hair is unbelievable. My husband who never says anything about my hair woke up the next morning and the first thing he said was, ""I really like your hair color"". That was the first in 28 years. This is the High End Salon that Tabitha Coffey talks about on her show. I can't wait to go back. Pros: The Staff's knowledge Cons: I couldn't stay there forever more

Ellen is heaven sent 1/12/2010

Ive been searching for my perfect hair stylist ever since I was a teen starting to worry about his appearance. After years of quick, botched hair styles in kitsch-filled, trend trailing micro salons, I found Ellen. Without a doubt she carrier immense passion concerning her craft. And she continues to hone it, as a trip to some of raleighs trendiest downtown restaurants and nightlife will attest. Employees from several establishments wear her easy-to-maintain styles and jump at the chance to give out her card, which is how I found her. She not only listens, but more importantly communicates exactly what she plans to do before she does it, reminding me of the classic ""measure twice, cut once"" mantra my carpenter father taught me growing up. The salon itself is very polished with friendly staff, even offering me fresh tea during my visit. I dont want to set foot in any other salon ever again. more

First time visit.....a wonderful experience!! 1/9/2010

I was a first time visitor to Samuel Cole Salon after my previous salon closed suddenly and without notice. I made an appt. with Ashley for cut and color and was thrilled with the results!! We spent a long time talking before hand about what we were going to do and I am thrilled with her ""vision"". The salon is beautiful and the little free extras from coffee, parrafin hand waxes and welcome gift bag just top it off! Nichole is remarkable! 1/8/2010

I have been a client of Nichole's for over two years. Everytime I get my color done it looks amazing. She keeps up with all the trends in color and always has new ideas for my hair. She always suggests color that could be seen in Vogue magazine as she puts it : ) It's so nice after so many years of salon hopping and lackluster color to find someone I completely trust. I would highly reccomend her to anyone who wants to spice of their hair. Pros: Best hair color every time more
