l needed to have a color job that was not satisfactory fixed and Michael colored my hair and it came out fabulous. First he sat me in his chair and listened to exactly what I wanted. He reccomended what to do today and how to keep my look as my roots grow out. While doing my hair we had great conversation and I will definitely go back. He has gotten a client for life! You can tell he has years experience in his profession. He was able to give me exactly what I wanted. more

I moved from Ct and California. I was looking for a modern, up to date hairdresser. I happened to read a review of Michael Knight and I decided to try. He gave me one of the best haircut I ever had. He cut my hair short, modern and with style. I am not easy to please, and I highly recommend him. I drive one our and half to have my hair cut by him. more

Best Salon In Area 8/21/2010

I recently moved from out of state and had a salon that was very high end. Coming to Raleigh I heard that it was be very easy to find another that was similar. That was not the case. I went to another salon in Cary first and had a horrible experience. I decided to try Samuel Cole but I didn't want to get my hopes up. Lisa was my stylist/colorist and she did an amazing job. I was very impressed with the amount of input she put into creating my style as well as her listening skills. She is a great colorist. In addition the salon overall was great and they give you a nice welcome package!! more

Carolyn has been my stylist for many years. She is very talented and creative, and above all listens to what I want to accomplish. She uses her years of valued experience and training to deliver remarkable color and cuts every single time. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Carolyn is warm, friendly, funny, and down to earth. Not only is she my stylist, I see her as a friend--as most of her clients do. Carolyn was also the stylist for an infomercial we produced; stying over 30 people in one morning under time constraints. Her people skills and professionalism are unmatched. Everyone looked amazing on camera, and we were so pleased with her work. She will be our go to person for future productions. Carolyn is one in a million, and Samuel Cole is lucky to have her! Michael Knight rocks! 7/28/2010

I am new to the Raleigh area and heard so many amazing things about this salon so I decided to give it a try. I ended up in Michael Knight's chair and was kind of scared because I wanted something really edgy, trendy and short. He completely exceeded my expectations and my new cut and color totally rocks! Not only did we have awesome conversation but he is totally professional and knows exactly what looks good on you! I'll be back for sure to see him and I highly recommend that you stop in and see him! Thanks Mike! more

Michael Knight has been my colorist and stylist for the last 10 years. Over the course of our relationship, Michael and I have worked together to create looks for my hair that range from edgy to professional. We've experimented with many styles -- medium, short, long and layered lengths; brown, blonde, red and highlights -- and he's done them all with great success. While you're in the chair, Michael will always devote 100% of his attention to you. He is great at reading people and knows when you want to sit quietly or gab. Since he has such a wide range of interests, he can provide small talk about anything, your favorite TV show, cooking, music, travel and sports. This and many more reasons is why I stayed with Michael for 10 years and consider him a dear friend. I highly recommend making him your stylist! Pros: Amazing Color, Cuts, Styles and Company more

Michael Knight cut and colored my hair in Jacksonville Florida for as long as I can remember. I'm considering flying to Raleigh every month because I don't know how my life can go on without him! Michael has the skills and intuition to know what's right for you - and keeps you looking fresh. Absolutely adore ELLEN! 7/8/2010

I have been going to Ellen for almost 2 years now. She is amazing. She calms my hair (it tends to get bushy at my cheeks and chin which is awful for anyone with an already round face.) She always takes the time to show me how to use the new techniques that they learned in New York or wherever they happened to go last. I love the fact that they stay up to date on all the trends and can change the actually way my hair is cut to better suit my needs. Pros: attention to detail, knowledge and a great memory! more

Love, LoVE, LOVE NICO!!! 7/7/2010

I used to believe that there was only one hair style that I could have because every single stylist before Nico suggested the same thing ""Long layers"". Bored of the same haircut I would go 6 months to a year between visits. Now working two jobs I make time to get my hair cut every six weeks and always look forward to my visit. Nico is very talented and individualizes your cut to meet your face shape and styling needs. She has watched how I style my own hair and has tweeks my style each visit to improve my look. I leave each time feeling like I have a new hair cut and most importantly I feel like I look HOT and so does my husband! I would recommend Nico to anyone and everyone and most often do! She has given me the confidence to style my own hair and given me a hair style that I can manage and makes me look good. Every visit to the salon is like visiting a friend! I no longer even pick a style I trust her completely to pick the look best for me and have fun reinventing myself with each visit. Indulge yourself and make an appointment with Nico! Rodney!!! 7/1/2010

I met Rodney when he was finishing up his studies at Aveda. He turns my coarse and thick hair into something desirable! I am used to going to Canada and getting haircuts there when visiting family - John Donato Salons. Canada has very talented stylists and with great European training and influences-they are a cut above in my humble opinion. I live in Chapel Hill and Rodney is the closest I have found in his technique and precise cuts!!! I hate the drive to Raleigh. Sure beats driving to Toronto! and well worth it for the great cut and to see a friend and a good soul! Love you Rodney! Pros: Awesome haircut, highly technical Cons: far from Chapel Hill more

Rodney at Samuel Cole Was Fantastic 6/21/2010

After several years of hair care by another Salon I became weary when I was re scheduled several times upon arival for my scheduled appointent by the salon.... Now I know and understand that time is money for a salon but when I show up and they reschedule me, it effects my own time and money. I guess I just expected too much for a 65 dollar hair cut. When I was referred to Samuel Cole I was curious to see the difference and was pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and professionalism of My new Hair stylist Rodney at Samuel Cole. I have never had a stylist spend so much time and detail on my hair before. To add to this excellent experience I actually felt bad when I was handed a bill for only $27 where I was used to getting so much less for $65. I will recommend Rodney and Samuel Cole to anyone and everyone I know. Thank you. Its a breath of fresh air to get great service and professionalism at a great price..... Rodney Robledo!! 6/17/2010

Samuel Cole is in a great location and the decor is awesome too! Everyone was super nice and made sure I was comfortable ... but to be honest the main reason that I went to Samuel Cole was because of RODNEY ROBLEDO!!! My brother-in-law went to Rodney a few weeks ago and said it was the best hair cut hes ever gotten and Rodney did all the hair and make up for a wedding that I was in. He did a GREAT job with the make up and hair so I thought I would give him a shot with my cut/color. I love the cut he gave me and the color is great too. I really value Rodney's opinion and I trust him completely with my hair!!! I am going back in a few weeks for the brazilian blowout and cannot wait. My mother liked my hair so much that she made an appointment for tomorrow! He is by far my most favorite stylist that I've ever been to and I HIGHLY recommend him!!!!!!!! Best stylist in town- Rodney Robledo 6/15/2010

Before coming across this ""gem"" of a stylist, I was traveling back to my hometown of Wilmington from Raleigh, NC (a two hour drive), just to get my hair done. I had tried several stylists in the Raleigh area but never felt my hair was reaching its full potential. I had long, flat, lifeless hair that needed a drastic change. I also had out-of-control bangs that were doing a horrific side-sweep. I desperately needed help and Rodney made me feel at ease to where I basically left my hair in his hands. He gave me a longer version of the bob with amazing bangs that fell right at the brow. It's so chic yet sophisticated. The color was fabulous- a beautiful auburn brown with caramel highlights that look natural and extremely flattering. I have recommended him to co-workers, friends, and family- and recieved the best feedback on his work! He is extremely professional, talented, and provides you with exceptional customer service (Not once did I feel intimitdated or uncomfortable in my environment). Did I mention he's also pleasant to look at? I loved working with Rodney Robledo, and am thrilled to have found my new stylist and Salon home! I followed my favorite stylist from salon to salon! 6/15/2010

When Rodney Robledo was working in Chapel Hill I gladly drove the 45 minutes it took to get there just to get my hair cut. Now that he's moved to the swanky Samuel Cole Salon in Raleigh I'm thrilled! He spends just as much time perfecting a guy's hairstyle as he does a girl's and you can't say that about many stylists in this city (or anywhere). I don't even have to tell him what I want. I give him creative license and he never disappoints! And yes, I agree with a previous poster - he's way more prince than frog :-) So get thee to Samuel Cole and ask for Rodney already!
