I felt lucky to get anyone to come out on Super Bowl Sunday! He was very efficient, neat and did a great job + was very nice too.

Worst

For timeliness, courtesy, capability and neatness, Southwest is on target; however, in hind sight I paid way too much for the job. I had Southwest repair a short collapsed section...

Late afternoon, the day after Christmas, our electric furnace started mal functioning. We called South West Plumbing, and they had Bobby W here early the next morning. WE were very impressed with their professional work and friendliness. Bobby gave us several options and due to the age of our unit, we opted for the furnace replacement. He was very efficient and willing to explain all they were doing, at the same time being very friendly We are happy with our new furnace, and would Welcome Bobby W to our home at any time in the future to do repairs more

Bob B. with South West plumbing and assistant Travis did a fantastic job today 12/31/2013 at my home in Puyallup. Everything was clear and concise no fuzzy non sense. A pleasure to have a professional come into your home and provide the service you would expect and then some. Bob B pointed out areas of concern which could have led to future issues. Bob is a true professional plumber. Travis his side kick (apprentice) is right up on the same level of pure professional. These 2 guys have given me a different perspective from past contractors. You can trust them, rely on the information they tell you and no doubt in my mind I would have them back in my home for future work when needed. 5 Diamond Rated service and the cleanliness after they are done. Once again I want to Thank Bob & Travis for the work they have done. South West Plumbing was my 1st choice when I started looking for a plumber and if your lucky enough to encounter these 2 guys you will be pleased. I am sure even if you don't get Bob or Travis you will still receive the same service that I received. Matthew A. Happy Homeowner in Puyallup, WA. more

Just got a thousand dollar(!!) estimate for replacing some pipes under the kitchen sink and snaking the drain (with a bunch of stuff added on that didn't show signs of leaking at all). They've also instituted a $95(!!) dispatch fee (no emergency, my address 2 miles from the shop). They've done okay work in the past for me, but I'll never do business with them again. Don't know if they thought my advancing years have depleted my basic IQ or not, but since a friend offered to do the work (even with a new faucet) for what the pipes would cost, I at least have the smarts to refuse work that's 5 times that amount. Too bad the friend has moved away. They got my $95 bucks (which I'd have had to pay even if I'd accepted their ""offer""), but that's all they'll ever get from me. Anyone know a more reasonable outfit? more

My 94-year-old neighbor's kitchen faucet handle was loose, by the time Southwest Plumbing was done with her at the end of the day, she's got a $800 brand new faucet with a built in spray she can't use due to her arthritis, a $1500 new hot water heater to replace the one that wasn't broken, $725 to repair and replace the pipes and valves that cracked during the above installation, and a $3000 bill. We are talking about a little old lady who lives on social security alone who needed a simple job done that only requires an Alan wrench and 30 seconds of labor. The only reason Southwest Plumbing even gets a star is because there is not a choice for less. more

I needed a plumber! No one wants to call a plumber but I needed one bad. I had seen the trucks and the TV commercials so I decided to give them a call. My toilet was overflowing and would not stop! The guys showed up right away and figured out that my sewer was backed up. They told me that they thought that it must be the city main because the water just kept coming. The younger guy ( an apprentice i guess) started cleaning up the mess while the other one investigated the problem. In minutes he came back in and said that the city sewer was full and that he had called the city and they were on the way. When the city cleared their line my problem went away. The plumber did say that the lines in my house should be cleaned because they had been filled with the city sewage. It all made sense so I had them do the work.My charges were under $500.00 and I was glad to pay it. I could have been taken advantage of and would have signed anything to get my sewer fixed. It is refreshing to know that South West Plumbing cared more about me than taking my money. Thank you South west I will call again more

I think I finally found a new home with SW Plumbing. Over the years, I have had different plumbing needs and was basically dissatisfied--either on service/timing or pricing. From Ashley and Rose answering the phones (who I tried to steal away from you because they are so friendly and professional) to Ron M and Tyler O, I couldn't be more pleased. Especially Ron and Tyler! Ron the journeyman, assessed each of my plumbing needs, and treated me as a partner in the process. Ron knows what he is doing, and took the time to give me options and alternate possibilities on some issues. I felt like a friend was doing the job. Most importantly, I know if something fails, he will be right back out to address it. All items that could be completed were done with an air of professionalism hard to find in the plumbing business. One item I deferred on was the replacement of a bathroom water supply. I plan to entirely remodel this area, and just couldn't justify spending the money on something I will be throwing away within the year. I asked Ron to give me a guesstimate on this remodel project and a remodel for another bathroom. His price estimate seems fair for the work involved. Tyler, the apprentice, seems like he will be the next 'STAR' at SW Plumbing. His ability to deeply relate to the customers needs/concerns, and smile through mine and Ron's 'ribbing' shows a maturity not always found in his age group! I plan to do these remodel projects within the year. I will want SW Plumbing, especially Ron and Tyler to be my plumbers for this extensive remodel. more

Just had to drop a note and let folks know how awesome Todd B. at South West was! He was friendly, and super great at his job! As a renter, I'm not always involved in the repair loop, but Todd kept us informed. Since we're the one's that are ultimately living with whatever is happening, it really helped us to plan around the repair work that took almost two weeks! I don't know about the other folks at South West (I can't imagine that they are any less wonderful), but I have to say that when I buy my house, I'm definitely asking for Todd, if needed! That man knows his plumbing! The City Inspector was also incredibly impressed with Todd's skill when he came out! Everything is working like a dream, and the house is almost 60 years old! Can't ask for more than that! Highest quality work! Thanks again Todd! You Rock! more

I have toilet leak and called them for estimation. 2 uniformed employees (apprentice and master) showed up. After investigation, they quoted me +$2000 for fixing a leak and also installing a vent. It was very pricey but I took it because I am in hurry to fix the leaking problem before it flooded my crawl space. After they finished the work within same day, I was shocked with what I saw - a big messy hole next to my toilet bowl. I politely asked them to fix the hole and the master plumber told me that they are not responsible for any damages to the wall or floor during their installation/fixing work. I was shocked with the response and I called their office and talked to service manager who asked me to hand the phone over to the plumber. But he ignored me and refused to take the call. Few minutes later plumber came in the house and tried to fix the hole. (I guess he talked to his office). He just simply covered the hole with a piece of plastic and edges are not covered properly where you can see zig zag at the edges. The finish work is very rough.\r \r After they left, about an hour later, I went to check on the toilet again. Now I can see through the wall from the edges which have few big holes because the glues/patches fell off the wall. The work is very unprofessional and quality is bad. Then I went to check on the leak and found that toilet bowl is still leaking. I spent $2400 but the original leaking issue still not fixed and additionally I get a hole on my wall.\r \r Their web site claimed that they are professional and friendly. Unfortunately my experience with them is completely opposite. Now I have to look for another plumber to fix my leaking problem. more

Steve P. did a great job on the problem we had. He was professional, clearly explaining options available. Not a strong sales pitch, but an expert confidently explaining what could be done. A real plus for me was Steve's willingness and patience to explain the steps he was taking. The solution to the problem wasn't clear, but the steps we agreed to worked. My problem is resolved. Thank you more
