SOUTH WEST PLUMBING

I was trying to replace a faucet cartridge in my shower myself. The cartridge snapped off in the wall as I was trying to remove it. My water is shut off and I cant turn it back on until the cartridge is replaced. Its late Sunday afternoon and I have to work early Monday morning. I called South West Plumbing and they sent Jon and Dan out to fix the mess I had started. Jon told me that if he could get the remaining cartridge out of the wall I would be looking at about $350. If he couldn't, he would have to cut a hole in my closet wall and replace the faucet from the back side to the tune of $950. He and Dan worked tirelessly for nearly two hours to remove and replace the cartridge without having to tear into my closet wall! I was able to take a nice hot shower before work Monday morning! South West plumbing was able to accommodate our needs on the same day as my call. They called me several times to provide us an update on our plumbers arrival time.\r \r James and Sam came in and installed three toilets that we had purchased. They did a great job. They were very professional, very neat with their work, and we could not be happier with the end result!!\r \r Thank you James and Sam!!\r \r BTW they were great about coming into a home with three dogs, too! :) more

Ron M. and his intern Kyle are my heros! While on vacation my water heater expansion tank sprang a leak. The problem was detected by a neighbor who had turned the water to the house off. All well and good but very stressful to deal with when returning home from two weeks away; needing to shower, do laundry, flush the toilet, etc. As promised by Ron, within a couple of hours I had both hot and cold running water. Plus, all new piping, a drain pan to detect future leaks, seismic strapping, etc; all things up to code and not a minute wasted or an item left out-of-place. I was also instructed on the proper maintenance of the heater going forward. Thanks again to Ron and ""South West Plumbing, the one to call!"". more

I made the call at 9 am and was told I would be contacted by 11 AM . Ron showed up at 11 am exactly. He took a look at the situation and explained in detail what would be required to resolve it.. He started the work immediately and even made corrections to the design so that the same issue of condensation and rust would not happen again... He also also made sure everything he installed was up to specifications.. The interaction was both professional, educational and customer friendly. I would and have recommended the service to both friends and family.. more

Dom and his assistant arrived right on time, and provided clear work and pricing information, then got straight to work. The quality of the fixes is excellent, and he threw in some extra fixing (pipe replacement and outside faucet), as well. Very happy with the service and work! more

So disappointed with the customer service. No surprise at all from talking to someone else who said SW Plumbing's reputation is terrible in Seattle. Did I mention I was disappointed??\r \r My initial desperate call (toilet was continually leaking, couldn't stop it and I was headed to work!!) was met with a young woman answering who wasn't speaking at times, so I had to ask Her if she was still there. She didn't seem to pass along my concern to the dispatcher. \r \r Dispatcher was (and have been on my subsequent EIGHT (8)+ calls) professional, seemed to care for the most part, and were helpful.\r \r The work was done by Mike (camera guy) and Jon (repairman or repair technician). Fine job, no problems. My problem has been in having Jon give the amount of time it took to do the actual small repair after the huge excavating, toilet removal, jack hammering, snaking, moving furniture, carpet, & padding etc... Despite FIVE (5) messages for him, no return call and it seems no one at SW Plumbing can obtain an answer on the actual work time. Poor communication there despite a good job on the work. Could have really been a package deal, but there is some sort of FINANCIAL motivation for them to NOT tell me the actual amount of time it took to do the job.\r \r Two (2) calls to Bill or Connie Buckingham, the owners, and surprisingly no call back. Bryce claimed he went above and beyond to help me but provided me nothing except to say that ""Usually the repair is 1/3 of the time"". Well I talked to him a couple of times and begged him (and subsequently Gail) to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE talk to Jon and find out how long the job took. Nobody is willing to do that. I only assume that there is some financial/greed motivation on SW Plumbing's part and I am of course very disappointed. Insurance will reimburse all but the actual parts and the time to repair. After the 8+ calls, I finally got the names of the parts, but apparently the time the repair took is either a complete mystery to the company or a well-guarded secret. \r \r They will never have my business again and I am letting friends and family (including each of my jobs) know that they should only use SW if they don't plan to go through insurance. Don't expect calls back or customer service should you have a problem. I even drove from Everett to their office in W. Seattle. Disappointing company who is maintaining their low-end reputation~ Those at SW Plumbing should know who is writing this although perhaps they have hundreds of people with this experience and I will just melt into the crowd. more

Dominique did a great job on our plumbing job. He was on time, did a good job of explaining the problem and our options. There was no pressure to choose one option over another. Once the work was done, he explained what was done, showed us the pipes he removed and cleaned up good as new. All the while, he did a nice job of patiently training a co-worker. I would definitely use him again. more
