DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! I signed up for service on 11 January 2013. I paid for an entire year of service. I was told I would have my can on Monday or Tuesday (14/15 January). My scheduled pick up day was Thursdays. I did not have a Rocky Mountain Can by Thursday (17 January). I had some items in a standard trash can by my garage, that the driver picked up and disposed of, problem is IT WAS NOT TRASH! Contacted the company when I got home from work and found the trash can on the curb (even though “Your trash can will ALWAYS be placed back by your garage”). They told me that since it was in a trash can, it was trash and they had no responsibility for the taking/loss of the items. I asked to speak to a supervisor about the issue and was told he would call me back. On 18 January, my wife contacted the company to find out what they were going to do about the improper taking of our property and was told, again, that since it was in a trash can outside, it is trash and that they had no liability in the matter. They also said that they did not want our business, and that they would be by to pick up their trash can (which was delivered Friday 18 January in the evening) and that a refund check for our payment would be sent out immediately. They also said to not contact them any further as that would constitute harassment. The trash can sat out on the curb until sometime on Tuesday. (23 January) before then got around to picking it up. I waited until 7 February 2013, contacted the company to get a status on the refund. I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks. I informed them that we were told the refund check would be sent out IMMEDIATELY. Again, got the “it takes 4-6 weeks to cut a check”. Fine, I waited. It is now the 6th of March 2013, 7 weeks since they cancelled service. I called to check the status of the refund check. They said the refund wasn’t requested until 7 Feb 2013. Now they want me to wait 4-6 weeks from THAT date to receive a refund! So I have been out over $200 for going on two monthes while they play the we will get to it game. Next I expect the “CHECKS IN THE MAIL” excuse. \r
