This five-star review goes to Mareeba. We are new renters to RPM since the end of July 2020. Mareeba is our rental manager. She is professional, kind, attentive, and most importantly she listens and understands our needs. Mareeba was a huge help with one of our emergency repairs in the first week of move-in. When things happened beyond her power later, she passed us to the Compliance Manager who is designated to deal with difficult issues so that we can continue receiving adequate care. As a new tenant, we are happy with Mareeba and would like to recommend her to renters out there who need a good property manager. more

I reached out to to this company on 1/11/2020 regarding a rental property in Illinois. My clients had several questions and although none of the questions were answered at this point, my clients applied for the unit anyway on 1/13/2020. I am actually still waiting for my questions to be answered and whether or not my clients application was accepted. I haven't heard from Edward Young since 1/14/20 and according to him it would take 2-3 business days. It's pretty simple, YES they have been approved or NO they were'n't approved and we move in or on. The service did not live up to my expectation at all. Fortunately, my clients went on to another Management Group that valued and respected their time. They are now settled in their new place and are firm believers that everything happens for a reason. As a Realtor, its difficult to provide clients exceptional service when I have to deal with unfortunate situations like this. For what it's worth, needed to share this! more

I have had horrible experience with this company as an owner and I do not recommend them to anyone. Before they get your business they promise you everything, and trust me I have done my research so I knew which questions to ask. They told me that they had presence in the building, but they are unaware of anything. Once I signed the contract with them learned that they have 2-3 business day response turnaround time, that is if I am lucky. Typically I have to follow up at least several times before I can get a response. They always loop someone new to help you, so you are going in circles. There is an Accountant who is answering your questions, at some point. She does not know anything and she is somehow is the contact person. I do not have a leasing agent, because she vanished. Sending her e-mails is similar to sending them to the black hole. It is costing me more the have this company that to rent directly. The are very prompt to charge all their fees on time, but when it comes to answering my inquiries, it takes them days. They collected move-in fee (way more than needed) from the tenant, but refuse to provide me any credit or assistance for resolving this issue with the building. According to a one sentence e-mail the tenant paid directly to the building. I have asked for a receipt and I am being told they have a canceled check - but I don't have a copy of it. That does not do any good to me. I do not recommend this company, do not waste your time and money. more

I've been working with Real Property Management ever since I began investing in properties. They have been incredibly helpful from the start, even helping me find new ones, and have been absolutely indispensable with the management of the ones I do own. I recommend them highly and suggest you give them a call. more

I've been very pleased with Real Property Management for the many years they have managed my condo. A friend of mine has gone through a couple property managers in the last few years and he made me realize how good I have it. I really appreciate everything they've done for me. I referred him to them and he signed up, it hasn't been too long but so far he is very impressed as well. more

I have rented a house managed by this company for two years. My initial experience was a little rocky due to occasional misunderstandings over the phone. But I am pleased to report my property manager took a keen interest in making sure his clients are happy with their service and has done everything possible to make my stay enjoyable. I will be renewing my lease for another term thanks to his effort. more

It's never hard to get ahold of someone, they're flexible and helpful, and we've always had a positive experience with them. They go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service and are consistently professional and courteous. I'm renting a downtown Chicago unit managed by RPM. I went through Shan to get the place and he was great. They have a very efficient system. Everything I need is online, even paying rent. It's so convenient to not have to write a check and rely on the Chicago mail system. more

My single family home in Wicerpark is managed by RPM. I have been with them for 2 years now. They have found me good tenants and they especially make sure my home is being taken care of. Any issues that arise in my home, RPM notifies me by a quick Email and discusses it with me....and then charge me later- I have never had to pay out of pocket yet. They also have maintenance guys so their prices are great too-serviced my furnace 2 days ago for $45! more

I recently got a great offer to transfer to a job overseas, and needed to sell my house. We all know how that is going these days.. BUT, fortunately, my realtor referred me to Real Property Management Chicago and had a lot of great things to say about their services and system. I did some research myself and decided renting would be a better option for me right now. From there, I went with Real Property Management Chicago since they seemed like they really care, are knowledgeable, and they even had good reviews from tenants. Plus, of course, my Realtor referred me to them too so that means something. I've now been with them for six months and have recently been planning to do some more investing in Chicago rental properties because of how good they are. more

I used to live in the suburbs and my landlord kept the place in bad shape. I didn't want to deal with a private landlord anymore and my friends referred me to RPM. I've been living in a house managed by them for almost six months now and it's been great. I felt the need to post this because they are really doing a great job. Today I was relieved to find out that we have rented my property in Skokie! It was for a little less than anticipated but I am just glad someone wanted to move in during the winter. They have taken care of everything and didnt charge me upfront for repairs. that helped my Christmas budget a lot, thanks! more

I have been with RPM for just over a year and they have been great with my condo building and 2 duplexes. Their management system is very convenient for me which is a huge plus; I can complete things and view transactions online and they never have to bother me with little things. They do an excellent job at keeping the properties occupied and the maintenance is inexpensive. more

I have been with RPM for the last year . I looked for and spoke to many property management places, no one was as informative as RPM. They contacted me immediately. They explained exactly what RPM does and how they could make life easier. I had several questions and they answered them all. They have an eviction program, this is very important. I am at ease when I leave Chicago, my property is in good hands. Everything about RPM is simple and online. more
