Rainsoft of Chicago

I have Rainsoft water conditioning system here in my home. I have it serviced by Rainsoft when the alarm beeps it tells me I need service. They came out on 07/13/2018 because rust was coming out the facets and the system was beeping and the kitchen sink was barely running due to the rust. This Rainsoft system has a rust tank besides a softener system for well water here at my home. The technician comes out and services the softener and rust tank and changed seals and piston checked all and charges $150. He said he could not figure out the kitchen rust plumbing issue and took apart all my pipes and left me with a huge mess. The ministers husband from the church on the corner was here the entire time until the technician went to his van to bill me. I kept calling and they told me everything was fine and working but still not water in the kitchen. I called Will County Well & Pump, INC. and they came out and charged me $220 and said the rust tank was full and clogged up and breaking my pipes and my system was not working correctly. I then called Rainsoft of Chicago again and they came out on 10/09/2018 and told me the rust tank needed replacement and wanted $1119.95 to replace it. I said that it blew out my pipes and cost me a plumber and well & pump company and why was I charged $150 on 07/13/2018 and another $150 from New Elements Water Softening & Purification on 10/18/2018 and said that all my equipment was working fine. They discounted the tank to $600 from $1119.95. After the fact of making me replace the rust tank they tell me the softener tank now does not work and they can not find parts to replace it. Whey then did they want to charge me $1119.95 for the rust tank plus $300 for service and my pipes and well needed repair because they kept servicing my equipment and lying to me that it worked and they are ripoffs beware more

I highly recommend RainSoft. I been enjoying the equipment that they gave me. Most of all, they stuck to their word on everything. I want to thank Von and Steve specifically with RainSoft. more

After sending out a small free water test kit from the local big box hardware store, I received a call from a phone rep who explained to me the basic water results and then asked if I was willing to schedule a time to meet with a representative in person. As I was already interested in a water system, I agreed. The caller noted that me and my wife both needed to be there at the time of the meeting, which I confirmed. The in-home representative called to confirm the meeting, as well as confirm his arrival time and that me and my wife would both be present. The representative did call periodically to update his arrival time to say that he was running late and if I was still okay to meet, which was appreciated. The representative arrived with a small black suit case in which he was able to do more water testing on site as well as demonstrate the filtration product results. The representative was very casual and easy going which made it a much more relaxed and pleasant experience and not so much a 'dog and pony' show. The meeting took about twice as long as was stated but the representative took the time to answer all our questions and work with us about all the options for payment and financing. After agreeing to purchase, the installation was planed for the next day! I was happy at the swift turn around! The two installers arrived early the next morning, on time, and were completely respectful of our home. They were willing to answer any questions I had and were pleasant even as I watched some of the installation. After the installation was completed, which took less time than I thought it would, they walked me and my wife through and explained each part of the system. It was a easy explanation and again they were more than willing to address all the questions both my wife and I had. It was an excellent experience and I was glad to partner with them in getting a product that I believe is well designed and suited for our home. more

A few months ago, I began getting calls from Carol, a representative at Rainsoft / Aqua Solutions. She provided a simple reminder that it was time for service (I’d actually forgotten). She was polite and cordial, though I wasn’t able to speak with her very long due to the nature of my business. She set up a time to call back that was more convienent for me. She met those times and dates and was very open to my questions as to what the service would entail and the approximate low and high costs for my budget. My service appointment was yesterday (3/15/18) between 12pm and 3pm with a one hour service time. *My business is predicated upon four things: knowledge, fair pricing, punctuality and quality of service*. The assigned service technician was Alvin Ward. He called to confirm his arrival time approximately 30 minutes ahead of his scheduled arrival time and his arrival was punctual. He was neatly dressed in uniform, with a tone that was both courteous and professional. He stated exactly what service he was here to perform which coincided with what I’d discussed with Carol from Aqua Solution who scheduled the appointment. Alvin was clear and concise in the description of what he was doing while he went meticulously through my system, pre-testing the water, item by item checking, inspecting and replacing the filters, membrane, seals, valves, junctions and other associated connections, as well as post service testing and pressurizing of the system. He cordially explained what he was doing and why it was important. This is reminiscent of what my clients expect of me, so, his attention to detail, depth of knowledge and professionalism is greatly appreciated. Alvin said something that is a hallmark of a cunsummate professional, (Alvin, I hope that I quote you correctly here,) “I wouldn’t want any less service in my own home”. Kudos to you young man... This morning, Carol called to inquire about the quality of service, punctuality and if I was kind enough to provide a review. Carol, of course I will... To the upper training management support team at Rainsoft / Aqua Solutions: I sincerely hope that your team consists of personnel of the caliber of Alvin Ward. If not, please consider him as a role model, and potential leader in your establishment. Don’t sleep on excellent personnel and their potential. We've had a Rainsoft soft water machine for years now. It seems to be pretty much self-sustaining but recently we had what turned out to be a clog in the salt tank feed line. Mike was dispatched and sized up and corrected the problem quickly. Though it may not have been necessary he also put in a new pipe and tuned up the machine and reset the settings. He was polite, polished and professional. My wife and I were quite happy with his service. And Carol was most helpful when we called with questions. The company really does an excellent job. more

We are so happy with our great tasting water! No smelly water either!! They were very professional and the installation was done quickly and done right. more

RainSoft Service was wonderful! Phoned ahead of time, was prompt. Not only serviced our system, but removed an old hot water heater that wasn't removed when our system was installed. Pleasant servicemen. Absolutely no complaints. 5 Stars! more
