I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person and typically look online for reviews of companies before I give them my business. I contacted Radiant Plumbing in order to come inspect a main sewer line clog in my home. I was informed that there was a non-refundable dispatch fee of $39 that would be waived if any service was performed. The plumber that arrived inspected the problem and gave me a written quote of $417 for removal and replacement of a wax ring on the downstairs toilet and a sewer line clearing. I agreed to the service and the plumber removed the toilet, cleared the line with a simple plumber's snake and reinstalled the toilet with a new wax ring. I was told that I would have a 90 day warranty on this service. 30 days later the same problem returned. I called RP to request warranty repair and they set up an appointment for 8 AM two days later. The plumber (not the plumber that did the initial work) finally arrived at 1 PM. After re-diagnosing the problem, I was told that sewage clearing was not covered under warranty, only the wax ring replacement (which I would argue was unnecessary). I was quoted a price of more than $600 for camera inspection and sewer drain clearing which would not be covered under warranty. I asked the plumber to leave because I believed that if I was to spend more than $1000 with a company, the least they could do was provide a warranty. I called a different plumbing company that came out, inspected the line with a camera, found tree roots clogging the line, and cleared the blockage for $294, no dispatch fee, and a 6 month warranty. I cannot speak for the entire business, but the two plumbers that I had dispatched to my home from RP I would not recommend to anyone. They were both very polite and did give me a quote up front, so I have no complaints about their conduct. However, I felt that their plumbing skills (at least with drain clearing), didn't match the price they were asking, and they wouldn't honor the warranty.
Pros: Politeness
Cons: Plumbing Skills, Warranty
